Polyphony Digital is keeping the updates coming thick and fast, with another new version of GT Sport due this week.
This latest update — presumably v1.12 — comes at us with very little notice, by way of an unscheduled maintenance alert. The in-game message states that maintenance will take place between 4am and 6am UTC on February 9.
A slightly more expansive message on the game’s official website reads:
At the following time, we will perform maintenance on the ‘Gran Turismo Sport’ servers.
A new game update will also be available after the maintenance. Please note that during this time the online services, including [Sport Mode], will not be available.
[Day & Time]
09 February, 2018, 04:00 – 06:00 UTC
09 February, 2018, 04:00 – 06:00 GMT* The above time is subject to change.
It’s unusual timing for both the maintenance and the update. Both of the recent car and track pack updates arrived at the tail end of the month — December 22 and January 25. This suggests that this update is about bug fixes and BOP balancing rather than content.
As always, you will not be able to save your game during or after the maintenance — you will need to exit the game apply the update in order to reconnect to the servers. We recommend saving well before the maintenance window begins.
We’ll bring you more information as we get it.
