Kunos Simulzione has revealed that the next DLC for Assetto Corsa Competizione is right around the corner, with “The Land of the Free” heading to PC on June 30.
The teaser is short and sweet at only 37 seconds, and shows off several new circuits coming to the game at the end of the month. While no new racing machines are shown off, it’s safe to assume the pack will include new liveries for some or most of the existing car roster.
It looks like the upcoming DLC will bring at least three American circuits to the PC racing sim.
- Circuit of the Americas
- Watkins Glen
- Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Circuit of the Americas, or COTA is perhaps best known for its place on the Formula One calendar as the United States Grand Prix. Teased for ACC last November, fans of the sim will finally get their taste of the circuit in GT class machinery in a little over two weeks’ time.
Watkins Glen, primarily home to NASCAR, saw the GT World Challenge America series return to the New York-based venue in 2021. While a change of pace, the GT machines will feel right at home around the 11 turns of the 3.45-mile (5.552km) circuit.
Finally, there’s Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home to the Indy 500, and one of the pillars in the Triple Crown of Motorsport. The road course layout comes in at 2.439 miles (3.922km) and is another stop on the GT World Challenge America series.
There’s no word on when the DLC will release for consoles, though the extensive 1.8 Update is set for September, with the DLC to follow. If we’re being optimistic, perhaps The Land of the Free DLC will be packaged alongside the Challenger Pack DLC towards the end of this year. If not, we’re looking at a release in 2023.
