After a little hiccup, the Early Access version of Assetto Corsa EVO is now available, along with an updated roadmap from Kunos Simulazioni for further development that reveals a planned launch in autumn 2025.
You’ll need to part with $/€39.99 (£32.99) if you want to join the Early Access program, but there is a discount available for players who jump in right at the start of the process. If you buy in the next two weeks, it’s 20% cheaper, and anyone who buys the game during the EA period will receive all of the content updates right up to the full launch version of the game for free.
As the roadmap reveals, there’s certainly quite a bit that’s coming in the intervening months — though we already knew that the 20 cars and five tracks arriving today would increase to around 100 cars and 15 circuits, as well as the open-world map.
KS appears to be planning five additional Early Access releases, along with six separate “Content Drop” updates over the next few months. If evenly spaced, we’re looking at something new to tinker with every three weeks or so, with every other update adding new features to the game.
The first Content Drop, marked as “coming soon”, will add two unspecified new cars, some new special events, and a whole new track in the form of Fuji Speedway — as previously seen in the trailers.
That’s set to be followed in short order by the second Early Access release which will include five more new cars, Circuit of the Americas, new special events, the Custom Race Weekend feature in single player, replay tools and a gallery, and “Step 2” of VR and triple screen support. We’re not wholly sure what that last one means…
The third EA release, which we’d be expecting some time around late-April, will add Multiplayer modes, while the fourth will bring the open-world map which is centered on the Nurburgring. KS has already stated that this particular map will be expanded in stages, so we’re expecting the three remaining EA releases to increase the area up to its proposed final 600 square miles.
Players who pick up the title today will pay $/€32.00 (£26.39), with the price rising to the standard cost from January 30. As the EA offering expands, you might see the price going further up too — but you’ll receive all of the EA content right up to the full launch v1.00 whenever you join in.
