New Details

After it was first teased back in April, information about the highly anticipated sequel to the original Assetto Corsa has been relatively scant despite its anticipated “2024” release date. According to today’s Steam listing, the game is on track to launch this year, but it still doesn’t offer any more specifics.

It does, however, provide a reassuring note that EVO will be used to feature a wide variety of cars, going beyond the GT-class racers which dominate most contemporary racing games. “Assetto Corsa EVO will include cars from different classes spanning across years of motoring history. From road cars, classics, hypercars, and race cars,” the listing reads.

The title will also feature “the launch of a new KUNOS Simulazioni proprietary, high-performance photorealistic engine,” and a physics engine which uses a “new mathematical model” to “meticulously simulate asphalt performance in different dynamic weather conditions”.

For players with more advanced driving rigs, KUNOS has confirmed the title will include “first-class” support for both VR and triple screen configurations.
