Well now this is an odd pairing. Kunos Simulazioni has continued to tease the contents of its upcoming Porsche expansion packs for Assetto Corsa, hot on the heels of previous hints (first the 935/78, then the Carerra RSR 3.0). The latest two additions certainly cover a broad spectrum: the 2017 Porsche Panamera and the 1973 Porsche 917/30.
Other than the badge on their noses, what could these two possibly share? Well, as hinted in the title, they’re record-holders. They’re also both turbocharged.
The 917/30 is widely regarded as the car that killed Can-Am racing due to its dominance. The final official variation on the successful 917 formula, the car was the most powerful sports racing car in history, running up to 1580hp in qualifying trim. With Mark Donohue behind the wheel, the 917/30 won all but two races in the 1973 season. The other two races were still won by a Porsche, but with the older 917/10.
The 2017 Panamera is also a record setter. With a new, turbocharged, 550hp V8 engine, it recently set the fastest lap for a four-door machine around the Nurburgring, clocking in at 7:38. It may be a big luxury vehicle, but that lap time puts it in the company of dedicated sports cars like the Camaro Z/28, Lexus LFA, and Gallardo LP570-4.
In addition, Kunos has released another image showcasing the Carrera RSR we showed you yesterday. This time, we get a view of those wide rear arches, and period-appropriate high-profile Avon tires.
The Porsche packs are scheduled to release this autumn, for all platforms.

This is already so good i can’t help myself but paying full price from the shelf at the nearest store when it comes out… Gulf 917K would be epic (do it Kunos, please… lol)
Good news, but the Camaro Z28 isn’t a sports car or in any way comparable to the others. The only reason it did a similar time is the fact that it used Semi Slick Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R Sports tires to do it. It’s like lifting a BMW X5, putting All-Terrain T/A® KO2 tires on it and claimig its a proper offroader.
The Z/28 is fitted with those tires from the factory, and it set its time on a wet rainy day. Would you like them to run it again with a tire you approve of? It’s a sports car, get over yourself.
I know that this is an out of place questions but will Kunos have some other car coming other than Porsche when the console version drop? I’m waiting on Koenigseggs to be specific. Officially supported, not a mod.
Anyway, this game is awesome on PC and hopefully I can have a Vive by the time the Porsche DLC drops.
i wouldnt exactly hold your breath, its very possible at this point but i doubt it. Pretty much everything kunos have licensed have a balance between street and race cars, koenigsegg did made the CCGT but sadly it was a very pitiful car and it would have no rivals as would the rest of the koenigseggs

Seeing as the pic above is yellow and blue it’s the 917/30 Can-Am. You’re looking for an earlier 917/k or LH.
917/30 is such an insane car. Would love to be able to run the car with the full 1500HP in AC. Can’t wait to see the full list of Porsches for this expansion.
The can do a basic version and a S1 version with the insane 15000hp…
We can only hope… the 917 is such an amazing car…
