Aston Martin GT12, 2017 GT-R & CTS-V Headline Forza Horizon 3 Garage Update

FH3-Aston-Martin-GT12

It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that Forza Horizon 3 is shaping up to have the most fun car roster in any current-gen racer. The latest garage update courtesy of EVO magazine further illustrates that point, featuring 30 cars in total. This week’s three stars are all modern-day wonders that span Asia, Europe and America in origin. A world-class buffet of driving pleasure from some of the most established names in automotive history, starting with the 2015 Aston Martin GT12.

The true version of this British supercar may be limited to 100 models, but you’ll be able to take this car to the Australian outback as you please. Even the tagline for the car excites: ‘Inspired by Racing’. With almost 600BHP (592 fine English horses, to be exact), the 5.9 litre V12 will definitely feature much lower running costs than it’s real-life counterpart as it tears up the Horizon festival. This lightweight British wonder should prove a handful come September.

FH3-2017-Nissan-GT-R

After making it’s video game debut in 2015’s Need for Speed, Forza Horizon 3 now hosts the mechanically brilliant Nissan GT-R ’17. As with any GT-R, expect high speeds, incredible handling, and a surprisingly tame interior as you drive through Australia. Each iteration of the GT-R does feel familiar but it’s good to see Nissan’s latest model be represented on FH3’s roster.

FH3-Cadillac-CTS-V-Sedan

The Cadillac CTS-V has now been around for over 10 years, with it’s premium sedan looks combining well with high-performance parts normally found on contemporary Corvettes. The 2016 model in Horizon 3 stays true to this formula. If you want to travel in style through the city streets, you could do a lot worse than the CTS-V. In terms of performance, the latest iteration in the long-standing model line packs 640BHP and an automatic 8-speed gearbox, reaching a top speed of 200MPH. The CTS-V should hold it’s own the other two stars of the week, at least in terms of straight-line grunt.

I’ll enjoy this game so much more than GT Sport… I mean, c’mon!

I don’t wanna learn how to accelerate and brake for an eighth time, considering I also played GT PSP it makes eight games from PD that teaches you the same thing and doesn’t remember you from the last game.

Oh and there’s an event editor in Forza Horizon 3? In your face GT Sport…

Now for those who think I’m a Forza Fanboy, I’m not. I like any good racing games and Gran Turismo is no longer in that list of what I call a good game anymore!

Sure, I’ll play GT1 to GT4 with my emulator but that’s it.

New GT-R, Japanese car. Premier game takes place in a RHD country. Company making game is headquartered in the UK. Scans LHD car. DERP

I think I can safely say this has the best car list of any racing game ever. With the excellent variety in FH3, I seriously can’t wait to see how good FM7’s car list will shape up to be

The funniest thing is that almost everyone is happy for Forza Horizon games on GTPlanet but when Forza Motorsport comes in, it turns into a Forza Vs. Gran Turismo war.

Also, event editor in Forza Horizon 3? I’m totally in. I’m getting the Ultimate Edition.

BrunetPaquet – because there are deluded blind GT fans who think its still 1998 outside, and that there are no better games than GT.Seems they dont like news about Forza, especially when Forza news is much better than ANY news about GT ;)
We all know what GT sport will be – nothing new, because Polyphony refuses to hire more people or give source work to other companies, they stuck in 1998.They were good because there were no other similar games, look at it now – in few years Forza overtook GT quite easily, not to mention other games.Forza expanding and leaving GT even further in the dust.GT5 was fail of epic proportions. My GT5 collectors edt. copy still collecting dust after being used only 2 weeks.Moved to Forza and never looked back.GT lives only on they fans.Smarter ones moved long time ago.
Oh – and you dont need to buy xbox either – MS store and 4K gloriousness on PC will be killer for some on this page LOL :D

I NEED THIS GAME IN MY LIFE RIGHT NOW

THIS IS THE BEST CAR REVEAL YET

Apologies for shouting but I just can’t contain the sheer hype I have for this beautiful game.

Another great reveal week! I honestly can’t wait for this game!

Sidenote: We also have the real Audi S1 quattro RALLY CAR in the game now, not just the homologated version that was already in FH2. At the same time the Opel Manta 400 shows up as a unicorn in FM6. I think we will have a real group B division in FH3 now, not just the homologated street cars of FH2. Super pumped about this!

Anyway, first F1 2016 and Assetto Corsa on my XBox One and that while I’m far from done with Project CARS yet. 2016 is an incredable year for console racing and sim racing games. :)

All these awesome new cars make waiting for this game all the more agonising.

I wish it was September 23rd right now.
