Sony’s continuing the roll-out for the new PS4 Pro, due to land on shelves across the globe in only a few days. Earlier this week, the PS4 Pro Event in London revealed more news on both the system as well as GT Sport. The next big event has been announced, taking place in the same city we first were shown the system: New York City.
The news comes care of the official PlayStation Blog. Location? Sony Square (25 Madison Avenue). Time? Starting from 19:00 EST November 9, people can start forming a line in preparation for midnight, where the first 200 people will be able to be amongst the first to purchase a new Pro. Forms of payment? Credit cards only.
As Sony tells it, folks won’t be stuck standing around for up to five hours. Beverages and snacks are going to welcome all the attendants, and Sony-themed “escape” games based on The Blacklist and Timeless shouldn’t be ignored either.
Furthermore, all visitors will be able to win various prizes. PlayStation VR will be one of them, while a 20th Anniversary PS4 system will be up for grabs too (one of only 12,300 produced). The grand prize for those that attend will be an all-expenses paid trip to the 2016 PlayStation Experience, which will take place in Anaheim, California on 3-4 December.
The PS4 Pro will hit the stores on November 10, starting at $399. If you need a quick recap of its abilities and how it stacks against the classic PS4 model, check out our PS4 Pro guide.

A plane ticket costs more than the console. I’m good, thanks.
So you’d rather the console be more expensive than a plane ticket in order to warrant purchasing it??? Well that’s random.
