As it seeks to keep the PlayStation 5’s sales running along at record levels, PlayStation has started its summer advertising campaigns with something of a crossover between its entertainment and gaming divisions and two of its biggest franchises: Gran Turismo 7 and The Last of Us.
A new, one-minute ad posted to social media stars actress Bella Ramsey — known for her roles as Lyanna Mormont in Game of Thrones and Ellie in the TV adaptation of The Last of Us — apparently preparing for her fifth driving test.
The 19-year old actor comments that she hasn’t had much time to practice but does have access to Gran Turismo 7 and PlayStation VR2 — potentially a nice perk to being the lead in a PlayStation Productions show.
While her time with the game seems to go well, selecting a FIAT 500 — a wholly appropriate car for a UK learner driver — it unfortunately doesn’t appear to prepare her too well for her latest attempt at getting a driver’s permit.
After failing her for doing 80mph in a 30mph zone (which would likely class as a “dangerous” fault), the driving test examiner nonetheless asks her for tips on performance driving, with the clip closing out on him trying out PSVR2 himself.
Like Ramsey, we were pretty impressed with PSVR2 when we reviewed it back in February. You can watch our thoughts below:
