Easy golds for me this time. “’60′s American Cars (non-racing) Super Lap” gold in first try! :D

  2. Roycehellion

While I do enjoy the super laps, i dont try any harder than bronze, there is little fun from beating times, I have seen countless times where i can shave seconds off a lap time if im trying to overtake someone.

By the way….. The BMW drift trial is on Cape Ring North. Might want to mention that, @Terronium-12 ;)

Are you for real, this is supposed to be a racing game give me a rabbit to chase anytime. sadly this game seems to be all about running around tracks chasing your own tail, that’s progress for you .

  4. Allek

I’m waiting for events where I can overtake cars and get some good money in return: I still have three 20,000,000 cars left to buy. :)

I guess the mad payouts from the Senna trials were good enough to sustain us? Well, if PD doesn’t want to bring back A-Spec seasonals, then that PP difference boost for payouts needs to come back. That way, I can get tons of cash from the Nurburgring 24 minutes, especially since I beat it with Senna’s 1983 WSR F3 car. Also, options for tire wear and fuel consumption needs to come to Aracde, as well as setting the number of opponents. I want to have my own private endurance races with 16 AI drivers on any difficulty setting. Choosing the type of cars they drive could be a fun addition too if it wasn’t so complicated to code. Finally, where is Interlagos, Seattle, and that new track (that I don’t know the name of) that was promised…in February?!?! Also, please bring American hypercars to GT6. That concludes my rant/wishlist.

I honestly like drift trials. Drifting in gt is easy. Golding drift trials takes no effort. I just want a spec races back for a challenge. I also have trouble Golding super laps because I’m basically a Sunday driver.

  7. kollosson

A-Spec events are needed with prize cars, maybe they are waiting till the new track comes, they may be planning A-Spec events on that, would make sense.

  8. AbsoluteBarstool

    Well…

Running a 60’s muscle car around a street circuit should be relatively fun. Going sideways in a souped-up M3 is quite the idea as well.

The paints on offer look pretty nice and the payouts aren’t anything to moan over…

Although they appear to be lazy and slack, you can’t accuse PDi of not working smart at least.

I hate drift trials. I’m sure they’re very popular with many people here, but I have zero interest in them. In fact, I don’t do ANY of the drifting events in GT6 (except I believe early in the game I was forced to do one, unless I’m mistaken…) I can’t imagine that people would actually PREFER drift trials over actual driving challenges.

    1. Steph290

I’m not too fond of drifting either, but I want that paint chip, they payout is good, and if you don’t normally drift it’s usually a decent challenge. Just pointing out some of the positives.

    2. Racin-Rev

Agree, It may be a popular sport in some places and for some fans but I just don’t see it as racing. Driving – Yes, Racing-No. Just my opinion.

  10. Brunskill777

Worryingly this is just what we got on GT5 with 2 time and 2 drift. I’m afraid I got so fed up with drift trials on GT5 I don’t bother with them on GT6. In my opinion if you want to drift, go play NFS or something stupid like that. GT drifting doesn’t even work that well, or the points system doesn’t anyhow. I’ll do the time trials, but I would like to see some new challenges come up. Something I’d like to see is an event where there is one AI in a slow car half way around a track, then using a faster car you have to try and catch and overtake it, that in my mind would be good. There are other events they couls try too, I’m sure they have more ideas then time and drift trials and I for one would like to see them.

    1. Magic Ayrton

I agree, the payout is so low too that there is no incentive whatsoever to do these, most times you have to buy cars costing more than the reward.

    2. Isho

Pretty sure most of the people that drift on GT dont do the seasonals to actually drift, they do it just for the payout since the scoring is beyond inaccurate and does not define “drifting”. Dont see where the “If you want to drift go play NFS” statement is coming from.

    3. Brunskill777

Well NFS and some other driving games encourage drifting as a fast way round corners, whereas GT doesn’t because it is accurate and realistic, that’s all I was implying. Also, I can think of better ways offline to make money than drift trial seasonals.

  11. wudy201

At least itssomething to get me away from rounds 2,3&4 gt academy and the last 3 senna tts. Im about to lose my mind trying to gold them.
Even though I think drifting is about as stupid as it gets it gives me 4 new events to gold in probobly1/2 hr. and thats a 1/2 hr. away from senna and gt academy, Ill take it.

    1. Croatian_STIG

@wudy201 – You can’t gold the Senna events? Dude, no offense, but you suck at driving. It seems racing’s just not your thing.

    2. abcdef654

keep trying man, you’ll get it. dont get mad it makes you over drive, well for me anyway lol @riverflow, he never said he couldnt do it. learn to read. @Croation_STIG…we are playing a game, its not driving. he could very well be a good driver. also, THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEONE BETTER THAN YOU, so stop talking like you are some expert master racer and stop insulting ppl to make yourself feel better about yourself. stay classy, tough guy.

  12. HuskyGT

Super Laps? I think we were done with these. GT5 is down now; this doesn’t take any development or any crap like that. There is no excuse of why they can’t put some A-Spec events up…

    1. LEGLESS77

Give them one more week Husky, hopefully they will alternate between A-spec and time trials like they did in GT5. They were due for time trials this week so I wasn’t expecting anything other than time trials.

    2. Lewis_Hamilton_

@MeanElf: Impatience? The game hs been out for 7 months without a single A-spec style seasonal event. Are you saying we should wait another 7 months?

    3. Croatian_STIG

@Lewis_Hamilton_ – Please note that we all had A-spec seasonals in GT5 up until server shutdown, so now that we don’t anymore, I’m sure PD is working on them for GT6.

    4. HuskyGT

How can someone be accusing of impatience? How hard can it be for PD to put up some A-Spec events? I’m sure all it takes is a couple if clicks here and there! Probably even easier than TT since there is no need for calculating the goal times! Of course I don’t know how they do it, but I have a feeling I’m totally right.

If they are not doing it is because they don’t want to. And you’ll see that if they eventually do it, they will come up with some stupidity (other than the dumb A.I) that will make the A-Spec events as lame as the TT.

    1. MeanElf

Arcade will do that for you. Professional level, a low number of laps will make it a challenge.
