Bring the Forza Horizon 4 Life With You on the Go With Waze

Are you one of the 1.3 million gamers playing Forza Horizon 4 right now? If you are, but real life keeps getting in the way of playing it, there’s now a solution. Waze and Microsoft have teamed up to bring the Horizon Life with you where ever you are.

If you’re unfamiliar with Waze, it’s a community-based navigation app. However, route guidance is only part of it. Users also have the ability to report police, road hazards, and traffic all in real time. It then lets other drivers know areas to avoid or be wary of.

You can also add new roads, destinations, and landmarks with ease too. This makes it one of the most up-to-date navigation apps on both iPhone and Android.

In addition to the community functions, there are also a handful of customizations you can do to the app too. One of those is choosing your personal icon.

This is where the first FH4 integration comes in. Instead of using a generic car or truck avatar, you can now switch to the McLaren Senna, the cover star of the game. While it won’t make your commute any faster, it’s at least something a little more interesting to look at.

The FH4 features don’t stop there either. If you use Spotify, you can connect it to the Waze app. There you can cue up the official Forza Horizon 4 Playlist. With 93 songs on tap and over six hours of music, it should ease the pain of rush hour.

(Pssst: if those songs don’t interest you though, we do have the GTPlanet Driving Playlist for you to check out too.)

Finally, there’s an exclusive Forza Horizon 4 based voice for turn-by-turn directions. This comes thanks to Maurice LaMarche.

You might recognize LaMarche from such TV shows as Inspector Gadget, Pinky and the Brain, and one of our favorites, Futurama. He’s also no stranger to video games providing voices for the Crash Bandicoot series, Skylanders, and Kingdom Hearts.

If you’re interested in using the FH4 features on Waze, simply make sure your app is up-to-date. If you don’t have Waze on your device, it’s available in both the Apple App Store and on Google Play.

Finally, if you’re curious to hear how LaMarche sounds, you can check out this Forza Horizon 4 commercial. Even if you know how he sounds, it’s still worth a watch anyway as it’s pretty entertaining.
