GT6 has remained untouched since the long-awaited Course Maker was introduced to the game in Update 1.21, and now has announced a short maintenance period for next week.
The last WRS Championship of 2015 is about to get underway. Mentioned earlier this week, the event will be running breathed-upon GT500 cars, hovering around the 600 PP mark, with the first race taking place at Suzuka.
A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6 showcasing this week’s beginner, intermediate, and expert level challenges. The events feature non-race cars and race cars dancing a fine line between outright power and superior balance.

A 5-stop WRS GT500 series has been announced, visiting Suzuka, Motegi, Daytona, Silverstone, and Fuji. The current sign-up list is showing a possibility of 2 rooms, and we’re still 1 week away. The first race will occur this Sunday November 22 at 20:00 GMT, and the champion will be decided before the holiday break.
As GT6’s two year anniversary approaches, our community has hit a slightly shorter milestone of its own. GTPlanet’s Weekly Race Series is using a custom track for the first time this week, a replica of the Belgian Circuit Zolder, created by a newly-joined GTP member – Robin Pirard. The Zonda C12S 7.3 ’02 on Sports Soft tires and just an oil change is the steed.The Time Trial ends Monday November 9 and online races featuring the car and track will be held at the normal Sat and Wed timeslots:
While the 44th Tokyo Motor Show brought us plenty of interesting Gran Turismo news – a slightly modified version of Nissan’s Vision GT car made its debut, while Toyota’s new S-FR small sports car was playable – one thing that may have flown under some radars was Polyphony’s newest motion simulator rig, which was set up specifically for taking the little Toyota for a spin in a special limited edition of GT6.

Toyota revealed their tiny new Toyota S-FR concept car at the Tokyo Motor Show yesterday, and simultaneously showcased the vehicle in what appears to be a special Gran Turismo 6 demo. As confirmed by Polyphony Digital’s Japanese PitStop blog, the little car will be coming to “the Gran Turismo series” in the future.
