Politics, religion, and Gran Turismo 6 are perhaps the three most hotly debated topics on the Internet (it will seem that way, at least, if you spend any amount of time around our forums!).

A new batch of seasonal events are now available in Gran Turismo 6 showcasing beginner, intermediate and expert level challenges. When we announced GTPlanet’s SRT Tomahawk X Challenge just over a month ago, it made one of GT6’s toughest Seasonal Events even more competitive, as hundreds of GTPlanet users sent in their lap times to win exclusive posters signed by the SRT design team – the same people who conceived one of the craziest Vision GT cars yet.

In terms of performance, SRT’s Tomahawk is one of the most impressive Vision GT projects yet. The “X” version boasts the most ridiculous specifications, loaded with a V10 that revs to 14,500 RPM and produces over 2,590hp.

If you’ve had a go in any version of the SRT Tomahawk – the newest Vision GT concept car in Gran Turismo 6 – you know how crazy it is. The “X” model takes things to the furthest extreme, producing over 2,590hp with the use of “experimental technologies”.

It’s time for one of the biggest races in the 2015 GTPlanet Endurance Series’ calendar: the 24 Hours of Le Mans! The race kicks off today (June 27) at 13:00 GMT/UTC (click here to convert this to your local time), and will be live-streamed right here via GTPlanet’s YouTube channel.

Polyphony Digital has posted a maintenance announcement set to commence next Wednesday, July 1st, starting 21:30GMT/UTC (click here to convert this to your local time zone) and lasting for approximately three and a half hours. As always, you’ll be unable to use the game’s online features during the maintenance period.
