Just like GT Academy USA, GT Academy Germany‘s winner’s identity is being kept under wraps for the climax of a TV show – and hot on the heels of last week’s announcement by Spike TV of the US version’s show, GT Academy have announced the schedule for the German show.

With GT Academy Race Camps only occupying a month a year, we’ve often wondered what the huge fleet of 370Zs and GT-Rs are used for the rest of the time. A short, 3 minute feature on a regional news program in the UK, spotted by GTP member “Humphrey” gave us a surprising insight.

After being cruelly dumped out of the Le Mans 24 hours three months ago, the Highcroft Racing Nissan DeltaWing will see its return to competitive action in October, with a GT Academy driver at the wheel.

Nissan USA have released this short video reviewing Bryan Heitkotter’s very mixed weekend at the Brickyard Sports Car Challenge on July 27th.

Jann Mardenborough, 2011’s European GT Academy winner, heads into this weekend on the back of a very unusual year indeed.

There’s just one more GT Academy 2012 champion waiting to be crowned, and the final Race Camp for the U.S. competition has just begun at Silverstone.

The European GT Academy final reached its ultimate conclusion at a sodden Silverstone earlier this afternoon, with Belgium’s Wolfgang Reip crowned the ultimate winner for 2012.

This is it for the European GT Academy 2012 finalists; only six remain, one from each region of the competition. Their names are below, listed from left-to-right in order of the picture above.

After the video update on the first two days of the European GT Academy 2012 Race Camp, the competition has intensified and eliminations have been handed down from the motorsports stars on the judging panel.

The European GT Academy 2012 Race Camp is well underway at Silverstone, and highlight videos are already being uploaded to YouTube! As always, there’s even more detailed coverage on GT Academy’s Facebook page.

The famous GT Academy Race Camp gets underway Saturday at its now traditional home, the world renowned Silverstone Circuit in the UK. Over 830,000 people from across Europe entered the fourth iteration of the European competition this year, and only the best 36 remain.
