A few months ago, an opportunity came up to own a car I’d almost given up on. Hell of a thing to open my garage to though… long time before this view gets old!
I bought another car. I really wasn’t expecting to, in fact I thought that I’d been just about priced out of the Type R market… It’s a ’98, with just less than 50k mi, and a very clean history.
To pay tribute to the legendary circuit, and truly epic annual 24 hour race, for this competition the limitations are as follows: Recreate a livery from any 24 Hour race on the Nordschleife since 1970. It does not have to be on the correct car, but the car should be of a type you would have seen racing on the Nordschleife.
This week is we have the lovely 4c Gr.3 car on one of our favourite GT tracks. The car drives like a dream. But, as everyone with an Alfa knows, at some point you’ll be hitching home…
As the world continues to toil in probably the most challenging couple of years for seven decades or so, it might be hard to recall some of the bright spots.
Earlier this year, GTPlanet reached a major milestone as we celebrated our 20th anniversary, and today we have reached another as we launch one of the most significant updates in our site’s history.
Tom Brooks, the man behind the voice of GT Sport’s in-game videos and host of the FIA Online Championships, has spent much of 2020 (where permitted) trying to put his money quite literally where his mouth is. After commentating on motorsports for years, including MotoGP and GTPlanet’s own endurance championship, he wants to become a racing driver.
As we’ve been following throughout this year, our friend Tom Brooks is looking to get out of the commentary booth and onto the race track. His latest video is now available, and again focuses on driver training.
If you’re keeping up with the efforts of Tom Brooks, the voice of Gran Turismo Sport and GT World Tour commentator, to make his way into real-world motorsport, there’s a new video for you to get stuck into.
As you’ll have seen recently, official Gran Turismo commentator Tom Brooks is taking the plunge. He’ll still be commentating on races, but he wants to try his hand at doing them as well. To chronicle his journey from sound booth to race track, he’s taking a camera along and filming a documentary series called “Make Me a Racing Driver”.
Usually on GTPlanet, we’re looking outwards. As a media channel, we look to conduct interviews with some of the most interesting people in the motoring, motorsports, and racing game worlds, to bring their thoughts and opinions to our readers.
You may recall that earlier in the year Tom Brooks — the voice of Gran Turismo — has decided to try his hand at becoming a racing driver, and film the process.
The next generation of gaming is just over the horizon, with both of the main players in the next-generation console market winding up the hype and anticipation. With that in mind I am excited to announce the new Gran Turismo 7 forum opens today on GTPlanet.
Over the past few weeks, we have celebrated two years of GT Sport Livery Editor competitions with a very special round dedicated to the GTPlanet community itself.
Our Double-Double-Header Online Special Event and Time Trials over the past 2 weeks have been such a hit, we’ve decided to go back for more! As self-isolation continues, it’s more important than ever to find fun things to do and different ways of having social interaction.
