After sneaking out at the hands of influencers and content creators last week, Thrustmaster has now officially taken the wraps off its new T248 wheel.

Earlier this week, gaming peripheral manufacturer Thrustmaster announced it would have no fewer than three new pieces of racing game equipment to reveal across 2021 — but we’ve already got a look at one, or perhaps two, through an unexpectedly early leak ahead of the official reveal.

Thrustmaster, the current official racing wheel manufacturer for the Gran Turismo series, has issued a statement on this week’s announcement that Fanatec will assume the role later this year.

Images that seem to reveal Fanatec’s promised PlayStation 5 Direct Drive wheel have surfaced on different social media sites over the weekend, and it looks set to be an official Gran Turismo product too.

Confirming last week’s leak, Thrustmaster has now officially unveiled the T-GT II steering wheel.

Sim racing kit manufacturer Fanatec has revealed yet another new wheel for 2021, but this one comes with a bit of a twist.

After teasing us for much of the past month, Thrustmaster’s new wheel has broken cover — though not exactly how Thrustmaster planned it. According to numerous online store listings the new wheel is officially called the T-GT II, and will be a successor to 2017’s T-GT.

After a couple of batches of closed pre-orders earlier in the month, Fanatec has now made the new direct-drive CSL DD, CSL Pedals, CSL DD table clamp, and Boost Kit 180 bundles available for general pre-order.

Right on schedule, and just as we predicted after last week’s teaser, Thrustmaster has taken to social media to preview something new. However it’s not quite what we were expecting.

Fanatec has revealed a new limited edition version of its ClubSport Steering Wheel F1 for 2021. It’s, unsurprisingly, called the ClubSport Steering Wheel F1 2021, and is limited to just 2021 units worldwide.

It looks like sim racing fans will be spoiled for choice in 2021, as it seems there’s another new driving peripheral on its way. This time it’s coming from Fanatec, and we’re not entirely sure what it’s going to be.

After a couple of months of teasing, Thrustmaster has unveiled its new steering wheel. It’s called the “Formula Wheel Add-On Ferrari SF1000 Edition”, and it is a 1:1 replica of the steering wheel you’ll find in the 2020-season Ferrari SF1000 Formula One car, built to celebrate the brand’s 1000th grand prix.

Thrustmaster has confirmed that its new wheel, due to be revealed tomorrow, will be a Ferrari SF1000 Edition model standalone wheel.

Thrustmaster has shown off a little bit more of its new racing wheel, following an initial teaser back in December. The short video clip reveals some more details on the wheel, but it’s very much a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it affair, as the cuts come thick and fast.
