As the Indy 500 race gets underway, Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed the full 2016 IndyCar lineup is coming to Project CARS 2.

The Indy 500 is nearly upon us. To celebrate, Slightly Mad Studios has announced the latest batch of content set for inclusion in this year’s Project CARS 2.

Last week, we saw Slightly Mad Studios reveal the different pre-order editions available for Project CARS 2. One thing was obvious: McLaren’s new 720S was the star of the show. This week, we take a peek into how the British automaker assisted the game’s developers in making the 720S as close to reality as possible in PCARS 2.

Slightly Mad Studios has unveiled the various pre-order editions of Project CARS 2, with three offerings for European customers that cover a wide spectrum of goodies — and price points. The available options include the Ultra, Collector’s, and Limited Editions.

Slightly Mad Studios has confirmed another powerful addition for Project CARS 2. Say hello to the BMW M6 GT3, a track-oriented machine specifically developed for the FIA GT3 class regulations.

Project Cars fans were given a treat back in March. Following the reveal of the McLaren 720S at the Geneva Motor Show, Slightly Mad Studios announced the British supercar would be coming to the next installment of the dev’s racing franchise.

Last week, Team VVV was fortunate enough to get some seat time with Project CARS 2, testing out the recently announced inclusion of the Red Bull Ring. There was a catch though: recorded video would be done with a controller instead of the expected sim racing rig.

Once it hits stores sometime this year, Project CARS 2 will arrive with over 60 drivable locations, all of which are going to support complete dynamic weather conditions and daytime changes.

Following on from the announcement of Imola and a Group C legend, Slightly Mad Studios has given us a first look at the latest addition to the Project CARS 2 roster, after teasing it this weekend — the Mitsubishi Evo VI by SVA.

Slightly Mad Studios has continued the teasing for its upcoming simulator, with the shot above featuring the heroic Jaguar XJR-9. While recently we learned the Circuit of the Americas will debut in Project CARS 2, this time the focus is on a famous Le Mans car.

Nvidia has uploaded new PC gameplay footage of the upcoming Project CARS 2 on its official YouTube channel, featuring the Mercedes AMG GT3 going around Fuji Speedway. Powered by the company’s GeForce GTX 1080 video card, gameplay has been captured in 4K resolution.
