This week’s Project CARS 2 Community Event takes players to Daytona USA but it’s not the oval that is the star of the show.
Winter is coming and as a result, the Daytona Rallycross circuit in snowy conditions is the focus of the new time trial. The under-appreciated variant of the famous American circuit offers a challenge for even the most experienced RX racers, so competition should be close. Slightly Mad Studios’ weapon of choice for this round is the 565 BHP Ford Focus RS RX, well known for its part in Ken Block’s Gymkhana series.
Setups for this round are fixed, so you won’t be able to tweak the vehicle to try and find those all important split-seconds on the leaderboard. To place well, your driving on the track has to be on point as there’s no time to be found in the tuning menus.
Players have until December 4 to get their time in and with the top five times only separated by half a second, every lap counts. Good luck to all those who compete!
