I’d like to know which whips you used. I started, as always because it’s fun, with cars from the same era as the leading car.

F1 Stealth, ’94 Skyline(RM), ’97 Castrol Supra and ’98 Lamborghini GT2. Then, when those failed, I used modern GT3 cars with no real improvement. Finally, thinking weight may be my problem, resorted to detuned Group C cars which produced much quicker times but no wins.

The prototypes got me down to 2:03. I’m not discouraged by these results. I’ve always been more of a car collector than a quick driver. Once my focus shifts to driving, quickly and smoothly, I’m sure my times will improve.

OMT, having time to reflect, many folks here, at the planet, have complained about stupid and slow AI. Surely those guys have found some degree of satisfaction with GT’s ‘Expert Level Challenges’. Otherwise they’d be rage typing these e-pages to teeny pieces of plastic keyboard bits. Thanks for touching base BB ;)

A quick scan of the comments suggest the Silverstone600 is as H A R D as I was hoping it was. Because I couldn’t get within 25secs of the leader… without cheating. I was beginning to feel… like its time to hang my shoes out on the powerlines. Now I cain’t help but wonder what is PD trying to tell me?

I mean… I know I’m no hot shoed fire cracker out there, but 25 to 30secs? Thats 3rd to 5th place, depending on the car. I now they could do a better job at multiple class races. Mixed feelings about this… least I already have orange pearl.

The trick is running 1:57s phil. I underestimated this race initially too, But I found a selection of cars that will get the job done easily.

crap i never got to gold the 10min siarra race or whatever the track is called andi bet its gone now. Tried about 50 laps in one sitting and kept coming up a few seconds short I had to stop before I went on a murder spree.

Did you try using the Suzuki GSXR-4?

Also, you can still do it and get the prize but you won’t be able to update your time on the leaderboards. The rankings are closed but you can still do the event

Done and done. Thanks my little Clio RS!! Passed first two with this little gem. Also, thank you for rubber bending. Heh.

    It’s not always about winning.
Choose a heavily under powered car and try not to come last.
A clean race with the back markers, can be a lot more fun/rewarding than playing chase the rabbit.

Actually it’s all about winning, but it would time to give us a real world race (free practice, qualifying, race due qualifying), i can accept to lose a race if the opponents are better than me, or because i’m not able to do make a good setup; a race in wich i have to power down my car, struggling, chasing the victory, because my car is the worse of the bunch, it’s simply a non sense; in the real world race nobody do such a thing…

You lot use any car you like, but the tens of thousands ahead of you on the leaderboard will all have used the 2j. (I’ll use mclaren f1rc)
