The latest update for DIRT 5 arrives today across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms, bringing some new free content as well as a further DLC pack by the name of “Wild Spirits”.
All players will benefit from the new freebies, which starts with two new Stampede events set in the Morocco location. The two courses — Ait Ojana and Tinghir — are similar in scope, with both taking in the Moroccan Sahara and hosting the challenging Stampede events which feature some of the most variable terrain elevations in the game.
As well as the two new courses, players will gain five new liveries from the real world. That includes a WorldRX livery for the MINI SX1, as well as new designs for the Armada Engineering Unlimited Truck, Porsche Macan T1 Rally Raid, Renault Megane R.S RX, and Volkswagen Beetle Rallycross.
There’s also two new weather conditions coming to the game’s arena-creation Playgrounds mode. Players will now be able to use fog and even a sandstorm in their creations.
Alongside the freebies, the new Wild Spirits Content Pack brings along a pair of new vehicles and an expansion to the career mode, along with two new sponsors.
The pack includes the new Ford Bronco, beating Forza Horizon 5 to the punch by two clear months. DIRT 5’s Bronco is the Wildtrak model, sporting the optional 2.7-liter Ecoboost with 310hp and 400lbft of torque, driving all four wheels through an unusual 6+1-gear Getrag transmission.
Joining it is another Ford-powered car, this time pushing 500hp from a 3.5-liter twin turbo V6, though it doesn’t wear a Ford badge. The Prodrive Hunter is in fact a road-going version of the BRX Dakar Rally Raid car produced by rally specialist Prodrive in the UK. Sebastian Loeb drove the BRX in this year’s Dakar, so it’s pretty serious stuff.
As well as adding two new Career mode sponsors — Alpinestars and VP Racing fuels — the DLC adds a new Wild Spirits bonus chapter. That opens up another 25 events in the game’s Career mode, giving plenty of chance to drive the two new cars, along with five addition Achievements/Trophies for task completion.
Wild Spirits is free to players who have Amplified Edition or Year One Edition versions of DIRT 5. For those that don’t, it comes in at $7.99/£6.49 (£6.99 on Xbox)/€7.99, with a 10% discount available through EA Play. A Google Stadia version of the update and content pack is to follow on in due course

Fun stuff. Just drove the new cars on the new tracks. I like the Bronco. Dirt 5 isn’t the best game around but I enjoy doing all the challenges when there’s a new pack. A few hours every few weeks :)
