Codemasters has announced a new version of DiRT Rally 2.0 that veterans and newcomers alike will be able to get their hands on later this month. Dubbed the Game of the Year Edition, this new release includes over 80 cars and 26 locations.
Since its release last February, DR2 has enjoyed a steady schedule of post-release content. Now, with this “definitive” edition of the game, players will have all DLC content in one tidy package. That means all four seasons’ worth of content, in addition to the anticipated Flat Out expansion pack that celebrates Colin McRae.
Releasing March 24, the add-on contains two brand new cars, a new location, and 40 new challenges that pay homage to the rally icon. If this all sounds too good to be true, you can watch the video below and see for yourself.
Of course, that’s not all the GOTY version of the game brings to the table. Up until now, Oculus VR users have had to make do with only playing the standard version of the game. On March 24, all Oculus users will have their games updated to the Game of the Year Edition. As a result, all content — that includes all four seasons and the Flat Out expansion — will become available at no extra cost.
Moreover, coinciding with the release of the GOTY edition, those who have access to the Ford Focus RS Rally 2001 available in Season 3 will have a new, original Valvoline livery to use. Both the car and livery are also available in the Colin McRae scenarios included in the Flat Out expansion.
DiRT Rally 2.0 Game of the Year Edition releases March 27 on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
