Just in case you weren’t aware, April has basically become the month of Porsche, at least in the Forza world. To continue with the theme, another Forzathon has landed on Forza Horizon 3, bringing along a supercar that first started production three decades ago, but still manages to impress.
The iconic Porsche 959 from 1987 is what the big deal is all about. What makes this car stand out from other cars of the era is just how much it focused on technology. For example, the 959 utilized sequential twin-turbochargers to minimize turbo lag: something cars from the 80s were infamously known for. A suspension featuring automatic height adjustment and an all-wheel-drive drivetrain were also present in the Porsche. To top things off, the 959 reached a top speed of 197 mph, which made it the world’s fastest production car for the time — if however brief, before the F40 arrived.
Below is a list of challenges to win the ‘80s monster and other items:
- Runnin’ Late – Perform 10 Burnout Skills to earn 45,000 XP
- Pork Chop – Perform 30 Lumberjack Skills in the WARTHOG to receive 120,000 CR
- Driftworks – Complete 3 Two Wheels Skills to receive 80,000 CR
- Morning Commute – Win a Championship to win the Porsche 959
As usual, this weekend’s Forzathon runs till this Sunday night. Good luck!
