February’s just about here, and for Forza Horizon 3 players, that means another series of Forzathon events. The shortest month of the year is packing in the challenges, with seven separate sets running from this upcoming Friday to the day before March.
The big news is that two of the cars found in the leaks from the PC development build will be available to players in the second half of February. The 1969 Lola #6 Penske Sunoco T70 is arguably the highlight, as a completely new entry to the franchise (and hopefully a shoe-in for this year’s Forza Motorsport 7). Judging by the title of the event, Playground Games has a sense of humor about the leak.
Ferrari’s 599XX—the front-engined counterpart to the earlier Enzo-based FXX and current FXX K—will also be added to the game for a specific single-day Forzathon event. This marks the first time the car has been made available on this generation, as the 599XX was last seen in 2012’s original Forza Horizon.
There are a few more goodies keen players can look to pick up during the month, including a handful of coveted Horizon Edition cars, the Silvia S14, the Warthog from Halo, and more. For those that don’t own the Blizzard Mountain expansion pack, the end of the month offers the chance to get a Subaru WRX VT15r Rally car for free.
As for Forza Horizon 3’s fifth car pack? DLC usually arrives on the first Tuesday of the month, so players can expect the next batch of cars on February 7. Hints should arrive on Friday, though we can’t help but wonder how many surprises will be available after last month’s leak. Stay tuned for news on that front later this week.
Forza Horizon 3 is currently available on Xbox One and PC (Windows 10) platforms.
