  1. DynamikGT

I used the 99 Spoon type R Integra. Heaps of fun, not to overpowered but enough to get the job done. Made for exciting times and a lot of last lap lay corner passes for victory :)

  2. infamousphil

It would be nice if I could win races with any fwd car tuned to 430pp. Unfortunately, none of my favorites are getting the job done for me. I feel put down by PD mostly for their performance point system.

After hours of trying, with ABS only, nothing better than 2nd. What is PD trying to say? Anywho, a single car from the premium line is getting it done for me. I’m not going to say which because I don’t like the car and there’s no other premium car, in its class, that can match it with equal hp, kg and pp ratings… ’04 RSX

  3. vovillia

Damn, I forgot to finish the old FF Challenge, it was removed when they added this one :(

But before you guys laugh, I used my trusty ’03 Renault Mégane, was a lot of fun :)

  4. Sharpener

Hi all, in the first race I used Mini Cooper S’ 02.(221 HP & 1134 kg). In the following races the Spoon Integra Type R, (248 HP & 1099 kg). In all races full aids, the car skids a lot without aids. It was hard to win every race because I’m a bad driver. I use joystick, using wheel would be easier of course. I never give up.

  5. Rafael F

What car do you recommend me for this challenge? I tried with a Civic but i finished at 3rd place.

    1. Freezer445

Try using the Mitsubishi ECLIPSE spyder.
The only thing you need to do with it is trim down it’s weight.
It’s pretty hard at first, but once you’ve mastered the corners it’s pretty easy.

  6. m8h3r

Could have sworn the picture was of a Fiat 500 last time I looked. Maybe I’m just going senile with old age…….

  7. Conza

Looks like another challenge for the Golf V GTI, oh yeah. Thanks God its atleast CS, CH at that power level would be much more difficult.

  8. KYD302

After all the whining between SRF both ways the finally made it optional. AFT. Still all those who don’t use you can go play Forza or NFS for the lack of realism SRF gives us. Now if they would force ABS an TC off haha.

    1. Conza

So how many of the possible FFs don’t have ABS as standard? I know the ones I’m using would, so I’m glad its optional, otherwise not having it, wouldn’t be as realistic.

    2. KYD302

@Conza While racing most race cars even in the lower ranks don’t allow ABS. If Gran Turismo’s challenges where driving from your home to the Grocery store or work then it would make perfect sense but on a race track abs is out of place an last i checked all GT is is Track Racing.
@Pit Crew That was my point. Hence You can play Forza or NFS for the same effect SRF gives. As in it takes away the realism within the game.

    3. Ridox2JZGTE

ABS in GT5 do not reflect real life ABS system, it’s a simple brake assist with added stability, nothing less, nothing more. Sort of EBD in real life, only in GT5 it’s works like a magical force that applies brake force accurately without locking the wheels. So, yeah, no ABS is perfectly realistic in GT5, it means no brake assist :D

    4. Pit Crew

Yeah well uhhh…these aren’t race cars they’re street cars. Modern street cars have ABS, I/E Realism. You know some forms of racing do allow TCS right?

If im not using SRF in GT5 for realisms sake, why would I play Forza or NFS to get an unrealistic feel of driving? (Forzas pretty close to GT5s handling physics)

The option to use or not use aids is up to the player, direct consumer of said product, not the second or third party observer. No one has to go play another driving/racing title to get their kicks or find their personal “groove”. When it comes down to driving assists, Just choose on or off.

    5. Ridox2JZGTE

We already have forced on SRF on several seasonals challenge, PD does not care LOL, but the last FF 430pp Challenge has optional SRF, which is good. We can’t make excuses by comparing the labeled assists like TCS, ABS, ASM as a simulated version of their real life counterpart, just because the real car has it, it’s realistic to have it in the game is not quite right. They are nothing alike to real life TCS, ABS or ASM, they don’t work like in real life and simply nothing but parameters that the game put to use to modify the input given to the physics calculation by the player- perfect brake force, throttle modulation, etc.

    6. Pit Crew

Whether its 100 percent accurate or not. Realife cars (street cars) use TCS, ABS, etc, and therefore should ,in some way be implemented in a game that claims to be a driving simulator.

  9. kekke2000

If you get the DC5 in the first race, you need to avarage a time of 44,344 to beat it. That is very hard but still doable.

    1. Terronium-12

Since when was it ever a rule that the central vehicle(s) of any individual week’s events couldn’t share a picture with another car?

    2. 05XR8

this is a pic showing old school meets new school, FF vs AWD, hybrid vs turbo and the new era of hot hatches is in good hands!

    3. xR3

I have the image in my head of RocknSoul raising up a can if foster, raising an eyebrow and lifting his head slightly as he says “Good call”

  10. hyyperactive

No forced srf. AWESOME! Haven’t played any seasonals for about half a year but I’ll defenately check this!

    1. kekke2000

I came all the way to the first corner of the first race before I realized this, I went off. This is truly a big moment of GT5 Seasonals. The comeback of great single player racing. Now i’m gonna make my Alfa GTV work for his name! :D

  11. Rionmoon

    HOW LONG till GT6????

I appreciate PD supporting their game and all that but these Seasonal Events are just rehashing the same thing over and over again.

At least somebody at PD Is listening: SRF is optional on this event.

  12. TokoTurismo

Aww what? T-12 you made a great choice choosing the Fiat 500, that picture was so beautiful it matched your article. :( “This is a RR”, QUIET! QUIET ALL OF YOU!!! O_O

    lol. X)

  13. fordskydog

Please give us Historic cars for the next UCD.

I need the damn Chapparal 2D. Just give us all the historic race cars in one go so I can make sure I have them all.

    1. xR3

710PP Dream Car Championship gives you the Chapparal 2D. Use a Jaguar XJR-9 LM Race Car to do it or if you havent got any DLC, use a Peugeot 908 HDI FAP (4,000,000 CR)

    1. Terronium-12

The CR-Z is the only thing that matters, hence why the Delta is slightly out of focus.

So, no, it’s not a fail.

    2. TokoTurismo

No worries T-12. As long as the CR-Z is ahead of the Lancia, you’re fine choosing this pic. :) Plus the Lanica is blurred out anyway, haha.

    3. Tvensky

well, these are Gran Turismo fans after all.. :)

      huge attention to detail!!! :)

maybe we should implement “the rule” since now :D why not..

    1. Daisey273

im saying PD have a habbit of doing the same thing over and over again… aka making 50 million skyline versions :D

    2. kekke2000

Come on Daisey it’s a nice update for the Seasonals, just grab your wheel/controller and enjoy the races.

  14. hondaracer84

91-95 civic eg works real well to beat FF seasonal, Mine was set at 398pp 180hp with Transmission tune and a good suspension.

  15. DITCHLINE

I would like to know why PD put racing soft tires in the game but you are NEVER premitted to use them they are so big on realism dont they know most race cars use the softest compound tires available ?!

    1. Nurburgthing.

Because RSS is not the be all and end all. Using them exclusively can make you a worse driver too.

A lot of Time Attacks don’t permit racing tyres. Sports tyres are the norm.

    2. Deko Wolf-GTPT

Realistically speaking, those tyres only last you a couple of laps. They are not meant for racing.

    3. fordskydog

Realism. Hmmm. Sports hard tires from the OEM? Or fing super soft racing compound? Yeah. Who’s not being real here?

    4. DegenThought

Interesting Seasonal to choose to make that comment on. 430pp FF street cars….

RS tires are no fun anyway, use them on your LMPs and X2010s if you must, but as has been stated, using them on a 200hp FF car is going to make you a lazy and sloppy driver.

Not to tell you how to play the game, but in this case, yes…i guess i’m going to tell you how to play the game :P

  16. CasvanRoermund9

What’s the best car to do it.

I made these already, but they didn’t work:
    – March SR12 on steroids
    – Ford Focus ST tuned up
    – And my C30R didn’t work either

Please help me out with this one

    1. Freemanroad1986

Sorry I can’t help you I have not had chance to play them yet still at work il be playing them tonite. Il update you on the car I use or if any body who as completed them already what’s car??

    2. fordskydog

      It is not the car.

Stick with one. The ST will womp most any fwd car in this game. Just pick one and stick with it. Be smooth. Slow down ealier for turns. Like way slow. You’ll think it’s too slow. But you will be a hell of a lot faster at the end of the straight after that turn.

      Practice practice practice

    3. DegenThought

Lots of cars can win. I found the Spoon DC2 make easy work of all the races. A Focus ST should have no trouble either. Like fordskydog said, stick with one and just focus on improving your technique and lap times, making minor adjustments to transmission and suspension as needed.

      My Spoon is running:

      230hp
      -20/-22 ride height
      12.5/6 springs
      9/5 extension
      5/4 compression
      4/6 ARB
      2.2/1.0 camber
      -.10/-.15 toe
      8/6 brakes

just a quick setup thrown on, like i said it didn’t take a lot of adjusting and all the races were pretty easy. I tried to avoid the DC5 or Focus ST starting on pole

    1. Madertus

      Skid Recovery Force.

Makes cornering a piece of cake, but takes a lot of satisfaction and realism out of the game.

Use it with TCS on 1 and you’ll get through any troublesome corner cleaner than ever.

  17. Dogga23

Ok. I am 16 hours into the 4th and final 24H endurance. So I will not be able to get onto these for another week.
But for that time. What car or cars are people using to win the event ??
More than 1 would be preferable as I don’t like to use the same car for all 5 races.

    1. Dogga23

Sorry mate. It’s A-Spec and I’m married so only get about an hour of PS a night. Plus after 4 laps of Nurburgring I am bored anyway.

    1. z71L28

Agree strongly!; H.Keslirjinin. When the hell are Thay going to make a tuned car seasonel evant with world circuits.

    2. MeanElf

Y’know, in garbage there are a lot of good things to be found. There was even a TV series back in the 80s where a house got fully kitted with furniture and stuff from skips – your choice if you choose not to sift to see if you find a pearl.

    1. Tvensky

HA! I felt something in that picture is not quite right!… :)

thanks for the tip!!! it is RR, now I remember!

  18. nanabu

    WoooW !!

I can´t believe it my picture made it to the front page :D

Thanks alot Terronium-12 for choosing my picture .

    cheers :D

    iam soo happy hehe

  19. Jared93

WHAT. Finally SRF isn’t forced upon us. Too bad it’s not an FR challenge instead though. That’s probably why. :/

    1. Quigz125

Recently they have disabled SRF the last few events. Yea it is nice. About time they started disabling it.

    2. Pit Crew

This is the first event since December 2012 SRF is not forced in Race Seasonals. TTs it’s never forced.

  20. TokoTurismo

HOLY CRAP that’s a nice photo! *.* About the seasonal. It looks like PD is going through the events again, but with SRF it seems. :\

    1. Whodoyouthink

For real?! I was really starting to get depressed over thinking that eventually all the seasonals would be replaced by forced SRF ones.

  21. DCybertron

Kinda ironic that the Fiat 500 pictured here is RR. But I’ll just throw together a civic or this seasonal. Could use extra cash.

    1. infamousphil

LOL, I was going to post an original comment on my dislike of FWD cars. Oh well. If it’s FWD, under 450pp (in stock form) or less than 550pp otherwise, I ain’t interested anymore. GT is about cars I cain’t afford or do with I have and going to places I’ve never been.

Not a good look T12, to let your indifference effect your otherwise exceptional work ;)
