First Alpine Vision GT Gameplay & Replay Video in GT6

The first gameplay and replay videos of the newly revealed Alpine Vision GT concept car have hit the web thanks to French website Mensquare, who attended the reveal event in Paris last week.

The videos confirm the existence of an “interior view” for the car – a feature which has been absent from several other prominent Vision GT projects. The replay video also offers our first look at the car’s unique airbrakes in action, which pop out from the rear fenders under to affect the car’s aerodynamics when needed.

More information about the car is available in the official reveal video; it’s scheduled for release in Gran Turismo 6 this March. Thanks to azeeza for finding these clips!

Looks like another car with silly performance… Still I guess at least it’s not powered by lasers or sometbing properly stupid like that…

Either whoever drove it wasn’t very good, or, that thing gets very squirrely under braking. Also, it looks like the guy who drove it was using the d-pad instead of the joystick or a steering wheel.

They were using a wheel. At the end of each video, you can see the reflection of the wheel in in the screen when the screen goes dark. Which wheel, that I could not tell you.

I’ll never understand why they allow the first gameplay videos (not promo videos) to be this kind of crappy, recorded on a cell phone, piece of garbage. Why not hold a contest or something in Japan and bring in one of their top pilots to drive the car for a day, and produce a professional looking 3-4 minute video from the recorded gameplay at 1080p/60fps, direct capture.

I agree. And while it appears that I like the sound the car makes, I am 100% certain that the reproduction of the tv, recorded on camera, then compressed for web stream, sounds nowhere near as nice as it could once we can drive it ourselves.

There’s not much to understand. Those kind of video’s are mostly made by someone “un-official” on promo events, hence they’re not “direct source full HD” recordings ,but mobile/cams … Just to remind you, that was not PD’s promo event ,but Alpine event and I’m certain ,when time will come prior official release , there will be video(s) made by PD ,that will be up to your standards.

There is much to understand. A proper “first look” at the car in game could be done before it gets to this promo event. Marketing 101, you only get one chance to make a good first impression and it seems a fail by marketing that they don’t create their own in-game video for the world to see before these dollar store versions start popping up on the internet.

Maybe this is powered by a Dremel. The Chaparral was powered by lasers and shockwaves, so why can’t this be powered by a Dremel? :D

In all seriousness, this isn’t an accurate gauge of the sound. It’s being filed off a TV using a camera, so we’ll have to see what it sounds like, though IMO it sounds pretty good from what we’re seeing here.

So, did the air brakes actually come out under braking? I saw them once in a corner, but I couldn’t make out the video well enough to see the high speed slow downs.

The difference between Facebook comments and GTPlanet comments on this post is ridiculous.. people on FB seem to constantly complain. Seriously can’t wait to drive this!

I don’t know, but what I do know is that they’re using a 4K Sony Bravia, I don’t know if it’s the new model or the previous from last year, but being a Sony user for years I can tell you that Gran Turismo 6 looks outstanding with some of the post processing that the TV does thanks to the X-Reality PRO chip.

This VGT sure looked like it was intended to be a race car. I’m surprised it’s on SS tires and not RH tires. I’m still looking forward to March.
