Long Neck Raceway
Welcome to Long Neck, my first attempt with the track editor. Long Neck is a track designed to test a car at it's limits. High speed cornering control is a must making the 24hour cars a good choice for an intense race.
Here's a quick draft of the track I made.
The "Start/Finish" strait is very long as you an carry your speed up the hill of "Easy" before hard braking into the "Front Foot". "The Bank" is a high speed corner allowing acceleration all the way around requiring your car has the grip and you find the right line.
Enter section 2 and we find the tightest part of the track. "Point" creates an issue for cars with low ground clearance as it features a bump on the inside that can cause cars to jump wide and onto the grass. "Fifth" is only a gentle turn that is normally ignored by the racing line between "Point" and "Tip". "Pace" is a long left hander that allows hard acceleration into "The Outback". "The Outback" is up hill and is tighter than it first may seem, however it does still allow lots of speed into the "Open Strait", named due to the open throttle, speeds of more than 200mph is likely when reaching "Knibbs" in any car capable of the feat, but only the best can hold that speed around it. Any car cable of avoiding deceleration around "Knibbs" at that speed is going to need a long transmission set-up as there's another strait to come yet.
At the end of the "Back Strait" is an up-hill braking zone which reduces the braking distance needed for the "Top End". The last section is made up of "Twist", a tight right hander, "The Arch", an extension to the right hander that allows you to hit high speeds before another tight right in "Rage". The right hander continues to curve until reaching "Pedro" where more breaking is required. Finally power through "Clip" (which this image exaggerates) and back down the home strait.
Although it may look like some sort of "Hammer Head Giraffe" this track is surprisingly fun, especially for those who enjoy high speed racing, such as Formula 1.
Hope you like it as much as I do.
Pedro.
