This isn't a real circuit, but it should be.
Located in the NW corner of Champaign, Illinois (USA). Think: University of Illinois at U-C. Fighting Illini. World renowned Engineering school. Etc.
Anyway.....
On the other side of town is the local community college. It is set back within a large park and is surrounded by one continuous perimeter road that literally has no straights. Just constantly variable radius turns. And ever since I had my first sports car (MR2) I've wanted to drive like crazy around that place. It begs for jalopniks to go fast. The unfortunate thing is that it also has a pretty strict speed limit of 25mph.
Until now!

This course takes advantage of the college's surrounding park and city streets as well. So we have two decently long straights for the top speed nuts. Plus some quite technical curves to make up the rest. And the balance between the two ends up being pretty even. So far my test drives have put my stock Elise 111R and my stock E46 M3 within half a second of each other's best times. Two great handling cars but with very different weight and power profiles.

A few notes:
1) track is 10m wide to stay consistent with the actual Perimeter road, the fun parts.

2) The constantly changing turn radius' keeps both steering and consistent throttle/brake control a priority. Holding a constant turn is just as important as picking the entry point and transitioning into the next.

3) There are some subtle technical aspects hidden. Such as the way the curve flattens, ever so slightly, near the end of the long sweeper in the NW corner. The track is just wide enough that if you hold your line exactly, your line will drift and kiss the outer edge of the track. Too much and you're in the wall. Too little and you're doing a lot of corrective steering and throttle. It's more of an optical test than anything else. Hit it right and trust that your line will hold! Oh, and it's at the point where you're likely to be hitting the highest Gs.

4) On that note, this course is a "Go To" run for setting up a car's lateral stability. You're going to be hearing a LOT of tire squeal. Knowing your cars very edge limits with respect to lateral Gs is of paramount importance.

5) I don't drift much. But I'll bet this spot would be a drifters wet dream.

Thanks for taking a look! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
