Formula 1 cars....Tuning....help....:dunce:

Alright guys, I just got my first F1 car and I just found out that at stock, it can be quite the little speed demon. I completed the Super Speedway first and got the blue and green colored one. I think it is the F090/S. Now I have no idea of what the hell to do with it. A little help would be nice. Now I'm not going to lie about this. I know nothing about tuning these god-forsaken things. I need all the help that I can get. Please help. Besides, I need something else to drive other than my ZZ-II, RX-7 LM, Subaru Rally Prototype, and My Denso Sard Supra. I'm out of ideas of how to tune my Supra now so I'm going to let it collect dust. Please help.

Have a look

here

I am currently playing with Poly 001's (PAL user) and the info here is quite helpful. Keep a high spring rate and low susp rate, its VERY twitchy on the bump strips so be careful not to overdo it with the bound/rebound on the shocks. Ive found a very good meduim today whilst running Grand Valley.

Good luck 👍

To quote someone else (I forget), do you want some post to go with that signature?

Six lines (including blank ones) is the maximum...

Agreed. Please edit your sig down to your favorite 6 lines. Thanks!

How's this? This has to be right. Sorry about the mix-up. I couldn't read all of the text. I'm running on ISDN and I didn't get to fix it correctly. So finally, I did. Hope it fits.

Thats right mate - Its bang on 6 lines now.

@Pink - Your signature that appears at the bottom of your posts should really only be 6 lines at the most - Shining Mirages was too long so it was requested that it be made shorter. Yours on the other hand is bang on 6 lines 👍 !!

Anyway ! How are you getting on with your new 001 with the setts ?

I'm glad i can finally post setups for the European F1 cars, thanks alot Kerr! To bad we only have 2 of them instead of 6...

Hi Ace-Spec

Whilst it's good that you want to help out your fellow racers by posting suggestions of set-ups, it might have been a little better if you'd simply posted a link to the appropriate GTVault set-up file as posting settings into a thread is something of an artistic art if you've not done it before.

An alternative is to use the "Code" option to retain the format of the initial text:

This is not meant to be criticism my friend; just trying to be helpful (I made a terrible hash of posting set-ups when I first started here :embarrassed:).

👍 This is what this thread needs some actual setts and guidance for the 001. Although setts straight from GTVault might not ne the best thing to read its still a start.
I have found that special attention to the bound and rebound settings and the ride height and spring hardness mnakes a real difference when you are on the rumblers - Especially the bound/rebound setting, if you get it right you can drive through the rumblers and still manage to grip - rather than get thrown off and lose it !
