I just drove my '96 Sebring JXi convertible for the first time today
Top down, sunny day, good music, couldn't ask for a better day to drive a convertible for the first time! Except for construction traffic, and fields that smell like manure
(a praticularily enjoyable stench in a convertible). But nonetheless, it was a very enjoyable car to drive, good low end acceleration, very quiet, and good handling too. It could use a five speed transmission though (as opposed to the 4 speed auto it has now), the acceleration at about 60-70mph was not very impressive. But, I don't want to sound like I'm complaining, it's an outstanding first car! Now, here's to hoping the parents will not mind me trying at some autocross (once I get my G2 license in a month or two
unless my dad wants to try autocross too that is...).
I'll post some pics in a couple of weeks since the right side has some very unsightly scratches and dents, so pics will come once all the bodywork is taken care of.
