I have finally got pictures of the four new cars in the Korean version of GT4. It took a while to find the Tuscani CCS as it was the prize from the Beginner's Spider & Roadster series. I tended to concentrate on licenses and checking out the used cars and it took a while before I started doing some races.

The cars are on this page at my Web site:

You sure, it was there when I first started the game?

Anyway aren't these 4 cars in the PAL version as well as the Koerean version?

No it seems they aren't in the PAL version which sucks as I love that Lexus.

The Proto Motors Spirra is there in the American and PAL versions from Day 1 as I bought it early on the American version so that I could take a picture for my site (back up a level from the new Korean cars and down to the American, PAL and Korean page).

The Japanese version has 710 cars. The American version has 721 cars (loses the Mini Cooper 1.3i and Ultraflo-Esso Supra). The PAL version has the most cars 729 (again loses the Mini Cooper 1.3i but retains the Ultraflo-Esso Supra it also gets all the Vauxhalls). The Korean version has 725 cars (again no Mini Cooper 1.3i as that is only in the initial release of the game in Japan etc).

The new cars in the American game cannot be used in a LAN game linked to the Japanese version, so I assume they are not there... the game locked. I have not tried the old Mini in a linked game or the new Korean additions. I think I hear rumours that the Spirra was originally going to only be in the Korean version. I'll see what happens with the extra Korean cars on a link-up to the American version.

There is really no definitive version of the game, but the Korean version is I suppose the closest.

Unless you don't mind Korean script the PAL is a good version to go for with the smoothed out graphics for the start of races. That is assuming a PAL compatible TV.

For NTSC assuming that you can play imports the Korean version is the best one to go for.

For any region capability it is pretty much down to S-16 with the Merc C9 or the Merc 190E DTM. C9 and the least number of cars or 190E DTM and the most cars with least duplication.

The Korean version has more English than the Japanese version as the car names are in English and there is the choice of units so I can use MPH, lb ft and HP!

The new Tiburon (Tuscani CCS) is in the US version. Or is it supposed to be a different version of the Tiburon?

As for those 3 others, you can keep 'em.

im not 100% secure, if protomotors its in korea hall or not, but um shour he doesnt appear in the new&use cars list or in prize cars list

The Tuburon in the American version is the fixed roof coupe version. The Tuburon CCS in the Korean version is the folding roof hardtop version.

Yes, Proto Motors appears in the Korean Hall. The Spirra is available to buy. I noticed it appeared in a number of races on the Korean version of the game. I assume the same is true of the other versions that have it.

There was no 75% prize in the American or PAL versions of the game. I am now wondering if the same will be true of the Korean version.
