With the new rules calling for a maximum of two extra pics per entry in the Photo Mode competitions, would it be worth starting an Honourable Mentions thread where people can share and show off their additional pictures each week?

The idea being to reduce clutter in the real comp thread and give people the choice of whether they want to see them or not before taking their own shots - some people don't like to be influenced, whereas others like all the inspiration they can get.

Is this a good idea or not?
 
I personally think that its a great idea! I might just get the ball rolling by submitting my own honourable mentions for the Week 11 Photomode Comp.





 
I guess, I'll put this thread to good use, which one do you guys like? I'm leaning towards the first.

Cool idea for a thread, should cleanup the competition thread somewhat.

Oh and, I was dying to photoshop my entry and my second favourite
 
Sounds like another thread with an endless stream of pictures. Theres already plenty of threads dedicated to certain cars, couldn't you find where your car fits n post it there? Just a thought. Still though, keep the pictures coming. 👍
 
So if these wouldn't have been week 11 material and as you say hardly honourable, then what makes mine so different from what every one else has been doing over and over again.................
 
The reason I started this thread was for people to show off the extra shots may have taken for the competition, but didn't use. The idea was to encourage people to post such pics here, rather than fill the competition thread with extra spam. It was not intended for a bunch of unrelated pics.

If it works it works, if it doesn't it doesn't, but I figured it was worth a try. To those who object, 'sorry for the inconvenience'.
 
Brock5000 it's a great idea!

The compition challenges people so much, that it makes them create some of their best work. Most people end up with like 5 photos they have a hard time choosing between. Which is why people feel the need to share them. So I hope there is a thread like this everyweek.

Week 11 comp theme is "Lights on" and none of your honorable mentions have their lights on. So therefore, they wouldn't be eligible for the competition either.

I was going to modify my original entry,last minute and ad one of these. I thought Id just stick to my original...not because I thought it was better....but I dont think its right to to modify your so called "final entry". Ill give it a better shot next comp. :)
 
here's one of my previous rejects with a bit of tweaking done to it, 12% brightness & 90% contrast added - within the rules! :D
