Playing GT4 with 3 screens

So have any of you done it? I did it at last weeks sunday when we were at Germany and visited Nürbugring. There was a Nürbrugring museum (I've lots of pics from there btw) and they had a very nice racing simulator kinda thing. There was like hydraulic pumps simulating all the bounces in the track inGT4 and of course DFP as a controller.

I thought that I have to try this one out :dopey:
And it was very very nice. The way the thing simulated the bounces of Nürbugring was simply awesome. The "lady" who was taking care about the simulator said "three minutes" but that evil lady pressed the select button and paused my game like after 1 or 2 minutes of playing :indiff: Don't know why though, I was clearly doing a new lap record for that day...

Oh I almost forget, yes, we drove the old Nordschleife around once with our car :sly:
Was propably the most exciting experience in my life so far :)

Here's a pic of the simulator:

They should have built that with a clutch pedal and a actual gearbox. Now that would be PIMP.

ALthough... it's amazign as it is.

Cool stuff man.

What kind of car did you go around the 'ring in? Both in the simulator and in RL?

Also, you should post your pics from that museum in the Photo thread. I'd like to see them. Any pics you took on your way around the 'ring would be cool too.

:)

OMG that looks soo freagin cool, i would love to have one. Cept i dont like the little black spaces in between the TV's but it still OWNZ. I wonder how much one of those would cost. :)

I saw something like before. How would I do that? I have three TV's in my room and I wanna do that so bad.

From what I heard and read you must have 3 PS2, 3 GT4 CDs and 3 TVs, and use iLink between them. Or something like that.

If you want 3 screens in GT4
you need a router and 3 cables to connect them instead of i.link
just the same you play LAN battle at home

We weren't allowed to drive any other cars than just M3 GTR Race Car but it was fine to me. But it was set to automatic and TCS and ASM on, that wasn't ideal for me though

IRL we drove our Volvo 850 GLT, 2.5 litre 20 ventiles producing 170hp. Very nice car overall. Full leather seats, automatic air conditioning and the list just goes on and on :dopey:

I'll be adding the pics from the Nür museum just when I've resized and cropped them from the "raw" pics. Should be uploaded tomorrow.

Make sure you post a link please. Here would be good. :)

All I need is an i-Link, 2 ps2's and 2 GT4's.
No! I'm sure that it was stated earlier in this thread that, to LAN GT4 or to multi-monitor it, you *must* use a switch (or router). Don't even think of using an Ethernet hub, since it has no collision detection (which affects performance), but switches and routers do.

iLink is to GT3 as Ethernet is to GT4.

Cheers,
