Wow, you are really skilled with photoshop. Maybe your just blessed with massive patience. I can edit pics to be really smooth, but I'm not good at things like replacing skies and such, and I'm horrible at drawing in completely new things like decals and lights and stuff. Is art part of your work or something? And what does FUBAR racing mean? Another thing: you should have put more motion blur on the 350, the wheels aren't moving at all. Your pics are great in general, so keep it up!

Thanks for the applause guys!

Keef, you are right, some of the pics took me hours to complete, that´s why there often is just one or two pics per update. FUBAR means F#cked Up Beyond All Repair, AFAIK. FUBAR Racing is my fictional racing team when photoshopping.
And yes, I´m a prospective teacher of art, geography and history. :D

Prost!

With your white 350Z, nect time put a lil tint to it, don't use so much shutte speed and lessen it. Use focus, and on your really close in chots bring it up a little and just see what it looks liks, you'l be surprised with the difference it makes.

Wet Viper

My try at making it rain.
Sorry for not being around that much lately. I´ll try to have a look at all your galleries the next days.

Thanks for the hints Yoda. The Fairlady update was planned to be unspectacular and calm and bright, that´s why I chose a bland white car, fast shutter and a large field of depth. I really took my time when shooting the pics as well as when I selected which one to edit. The only thing I´d do different the next time would be using a very very little bit blur on the wheels. On the other hand, using a little tint on white cars is a good idea to get them more lively, I´ll remember that.

Prost!

That's very nice bjc. I love how the other car in the background is blurred, looks real. Also the drops hitting the window look great! 👍 👍

Excellent pic mate! I'm sure that this has to be the best pic of a car in the rain to date. I was all ready to pick holes in it as I've seen some very unconvincing rain shots so far. Safe to say I couldn't fault your image.

The rain bouncing of the windshield is excellent. The only thing I thought of that could enhance the image further was if the wiper was visible and the track it leaves on the screen as it moves across it. Other than that, the image is faultless! keep up the good work mate! :dopey:

If you get chance, feel free to pop round my gallery and leave comments.

I'm lovin the Viper, it really shows alot of atmosphere, and it gives it the all american grunt look, it's definatly one of the best Viper Pics i have seen, the back ground car looks phot realistic, and the lighting is perfect for a rain storm, and it's just my kind of pic, one thing that caught was the fron left rim the only visible one, it seemed it need more motion blur, but if you do that it looks liek you were there at a track. But if you wanted to make it look like it was taken with a camera, make it look like theres rain drops on the lens, i don't know if you want to make it that detailed, but it would be killer eye candy.

Peace out, Yoda

hey nice job man! It even looks as if the rain droplets are hitting the Viper too. I like it very much COol man. hey feel to check out my galley, theres a Lotus Elise with a rain affect in it somewhere.

all: thanks for looking at my pic and leaving so positive comments. I saw some of the rain pics here, and of course I´m always interested in more. So yes, please feel inspired by my picture to work out your own efforts.

freddy: Yeah, the drops were an idea I in fact thought of in the last minute only, but I think the came out quite well.

magburner: I too was inspired by some other rain pics I saw around here. And I surely took some ideas and solutions from these pics. I attempted a look more like a painting than like a photography, that´s why I used some different brushes instead of implementing parts of real photos. But you´re right, a wiper would be cool, I´ll look what I can do...

Master_Yoda: Yeah you´re absolutely right, rain drops would be cool!! Now I must choose: Rain drops on the lens or wipers on the windshield, because I think both would be eyecandy, but two such eyecandy could be too much... Hmmm....

appie17: thanks for making a mess ( ) :dopey: Here´s one with a normal aspect ratio.

Prost!

Wow!!! Ooooh... my... god...!!! *Bang* (Head hitting ground after fainting! :lol)

Seriously, that Viper looks awesome!!! 👍 Fantastic work!! I'm a fan!

I´m glad you like it, guys.

@PB: In PS I used the rubber tool with a brush tip that looks like grass, and applied it with different sizes above those parts of the car, where the rain should bounce.

Prost!

Nice feedback guys... thanks again! JMX, I appreciate your comment. I hope you saw that I voted for your Superbird and Vette pic.

I don´t have much time these days, so here´s just one quick pic. It could have been cleaned better, but I hope it´s colourful enough. Master_Yoda: I think I got a solution to make the wheels blurred and sharp at the same time to meet your taste as well as mine... ;)

Prost!

Edit: reworked and reposted the pic

Just go over the edges with a tiny blur brush at normal mode in 100% and you push all the nasty pixels into the background. Just hover over them and your done.

It's really fast you know;)
AND THE VIPER IS STUNNING! I love the detail of the rain hitting on the front window and the reflecions are SOO detailed that you can see the road texture reflecting. Very much detail!
