Should we have a GT4 trivia on this site.

Great idea! Even using questions from outside GT4, or questions related to the cars in GT4 but not the actual game would increase the longevity of the thread.

You may find this difficult to keep up with, without a Premium Membership, as your inbox will only hold 50 messages at a time and it looks as though there's enough interest that you'll get swamped. If you upgrade to Premium, your inbox will hold 1500 messages so you won't have too much difficulty.
Something to consider. ;)

Two things, first can I ask you to stop double posting, you have done it a number of times now, on posts a few minutes apart. I know that you are aware of how to edit a post so you are quite capable of doing so.

Secondly why do we have two threads that are almost identical? I have noticed that a number of people have posted in both, possiably due to the very close nature of the names.

I am going to merge them together to stop any confusion, but please do not do this again in future. Edited to add - which I can't do as they both have a poll attached, so I have no choice but to lock the other one.

I know I only posted in one Trivia thread, yet I see duplicates of my posts in that twin trivia thread. It looks like somehow an identical copy of this thread got made including all the same posts up to #38? Ghost thread? Evil twin? ;) Very odd.


Anyway, here is my last post from the now closed twin copy that didn't make it over here:

Considering that opendriver19a already revealed the answer I assume this first question is already cancelled? Not that it is a big deal, as even those few who did not know this answer could have looked it up in just a few mouse clicks.

For a slightly more challenging trivia question, see what kind of responses you get for the following:

  • What is the most expensive car that can only be acquired in used condition, and by using the depreciation formula in GT4, what would have been its original asking price if sold new in the game?

If you look over the near 10,000 replies in those two threads you'll see that they include many cars from GT4 as well. However, considering the popularity of those threads, perhaps there is enough interest to warrant the same kind of thread, but restricted to just the cars in GT4.
 
Your PM box should be sufficient for this, you won't get 50 answers each time, and just delet them as you read them and make a note on a piece of paper who's got what right.

As for one question a week, I think that's a bit low. 1 question every 2 days seems low as well. Why not group the questions into 5's, one point for each correct answer, questions with 3 answers give 3 points if you get all three ect. That would make it more of a lively quiz.

Also I'd suggest to put the latest set of question in the first post, and the set of answers to the last lot of questions and then you can have a table of who's got how many right the last lot and overall.
 
The reason for the double thread is because i was going to rename the thread so i can have it more organized. For some reason the name did not change. I was going to have just one for info, and one for the questions.

I understand that, its just not a valid reason to go and create a second thread, if you want this thread re-named (as people seem happy to use it as the question thread) and are not able to change it yourself. Then just PM me with the name you want and I will do it for you.

Ok tomorrow everyone look for the question on this thread. It will be posted probably around 5pm central time.You will have 2 days to answer it ( exactly 48 hours from when I post the question, not 48 hours and 1 sec). However, I did read your PM, and you only got part of the question right. :(

If the trivia thread isn't dead, maybe with multiple part questions like this, you'll get a point for each part you get right?
