That is one smooth pic 👍 maybe too smooth in the front compared to the edges of the front fenders if you´re getting down low on deatails that is. Sweet sweet work for sure!!!
Thanks man!:)
A verry nice update! i will sugest you to just "repaint" the body lines a bit (like Ultrashot did in his tutorial) so the car will popup.
I would follow his guide but I've been lazy and still haven't got PS so I'm still using GIMP, thanks for the comment though.👍
Very nice, but I like the red tone the most in this shot.
Thanks dude.:dopey:
i like your subaru shot, and TT is looking better and better, i just wanna buy it :D

Thanks, I'll sell it if you want.:sly:

the last update looks pretty cool. i don't really like the red background but whatever you know, the shot is still good.

I know this has nothing to do with GT4 or cars but ohwell, I had to do this project in my Art Intro class the other day and really wanted to get some opinions on it. The only thing I don't like about it is that when I started to add shading and shadows all my grid lines that I erased came back, so if you could ignore those and let me know what you think about it it'd be much appreciated.:) 👍

Why did you use Grid Lines in the first place?

Because when I use to go to School and College I never ever used grid lines in my artwork.

Thats how we were told to do it. We put a grid on a small pic of ourselves, the made it scale size on a bigger sheet of paper using the gridlines.

I always find it difficult to draw noses on people but am getting better. It is a nice picture LOON. I would show my most recent "Hamster" picture but it is in my art book.

I had a hard time drawing my lips, I find them to be the most difficult thing to draw, especially on guys. When I do them they always look like a girls lips, thats why when we were asked to take a pose, I covered most of my mouth.

yeah I understand that. I'm workin on something like this, only I'm painting my uncle and cousin and it's for money.:) It's 2 meters by 2.5 meters big, so I call it "my huge uncle".:P I do it andy warhol style, and it has much bright colours, just the lips... I painted them red and now they look shemales!
will post a pic of it when it's ready in my gal.

it looks cool, got more?:)

I'd love to see that picture, Andy Warhols style was pretty cool IMO.

I've got a couple more peices of work...

I've got a landscape shot that is painted Van Gogh style with real big brush stokes. And I've got a collage that we had to do, we had to make it look surreal like Mark Chagall. Thats all we've done this year.

I like art lessons a lot and drawing but im naff at most of it (especially faces) :( im more interested in photography really. (dreaming of a DSLR:() but i like your work a lot:tup:

The kind of 'art' i like to do is by this guy Julian OpieI like the modern style of it.

Sorry if the post is a bit confusing but im feeling a bit weird today:yuck:

Nice work, LOON.

Only a couple of things; the eyes are different from each other in size, you basically don't have knuckles (sp?), your fingers bend in a circular shape as if you had no bones inside, and... you have a punctured ear. :)

Not dissing it or anything, just pointing a few things that could be improved.

I suck at painting noses and mouths, and hands and feet. That's why I tend to - literally - remove them from the paintings I do (the few that have people in them), leaving the flesh hanging, bones showing, and veins and arteries dripping all over. Been drawing and painting that ever since I was 14.
Luckily, only 1% of my paintings are like that.
I'll try to post a few pics of them in my gallery when I can.

Good work on the shadings, very smooth looking. 👍

Thanks Tommi, I too really like photography, probably why I got into the gt4 photomode as much as I have. Those pictures from Julian Opie are very interesting, its like a of vector of person, looks very cool and original.

Not taking it as dissing at all, everything you said, as I looked back up to my picture seems to be true. The only thing I can think of as to why my one eye is smaller is because my head is turned slightly, also why you can't see my other ear. But I know about the knuckles and shape of my hand you're dead right. Its always good to get some criticism from a skilled artist, helps alot IMO.

Oh, and the ear, thats a 2 guage plug.

To be honest with you, i Don't like it, regardless of visible grids or not. However, i Can't do better myself. I have never drawn portraits ever, well maybe except portraits of cars :D or birds. I can do those really well. You should see my photoshop rendering, it's pretty damn good, even though they have proportional errors.

The car didn't need the effects, if you just left the car sharp and the background this way or with a blur, you'd get more votes, i like the colors.

ghostly and mysterious. well done! go gimp go! damn dude, i wish you could of moved on past the qualifying. ah well. you got better things to worry about. keep up the good work dude!

@TEAMDiablo3: Cool, thanks man.👍

@Ray: Thanks for the tip man.👍

@Jgda9rs: Yeah, GO GIMP. Its no biggie about the tourney.👍

Too much blurring on the car in my view, but I hope this is not a sign of things to come.

As long as I can see the car a bit better with less blur on the cars whole body, then that is ok.
