GT-ONE:287.40
R92CP:285.63
MINOLTA: It Keeps oversteering!!!!!!!!!!
I need some help.

Do any of these cars exist in real life?

Toyota RSC Rally Raid Car
Chevrolet Camaro LM Race Car
Toyota Motor Triathlon Race Car
Nissan Fairlady Z Concept LM Race Car
Nissan GT-R Concept LM Race Car
Mazda RX-7 LM Race Car
Mazda RX-8 Concept LM Race Car
Pagani Zonda LM Race Car
Toyota Altezza Touring Car
Ford GT LM Race Car
Ford GT LM Race Car Spec II

the rest are called Dream cars because that's where they exist ;)

Also include the Mitsubishi FTO LM Race Car, Honda S2000 LM Race Car and I'm sure there must be a few more.

I believe a car very close to the ZondaLM was actually entered by privateers, though with a different livery?

Also, before anyone thinks of including it, the Jaguar XJ220LM did exist - and it raced - in GT1 or similar. Different livery, of course, and not the exact car - but very close.

There's some similarity with some of the Dream Cars and either real life counterparts or real life classes of racing (typically GT1/GT2), but not always.

The NSX LM edition is the perfect example...
There was an exact replica of the NSX LM race car from GT4 a while back with only one difference... It was the previous generation NSX.

In GT4 we get the final generation NSX as the LM race car.
Suprisingly though, the paint job, decals, wheels, and everything else is spot-on.

Very tricky to catch the differences but those headlights give it away.
Don't have pictures right now but I will find some... Give it time. :D

The Real Thing (1995 NSX LM)

The GT4 Thing

Not a perfect replica as I said but rather close... Close enough to trick the eye! ;)

Toyota RSC Rally was a concept based on a concept.
Camaro LM Race Car is based on GT class Camaros used for Daytona and Atlanta GT's etc.
Toyota Motor Triathlon is a concept.
Mazda RX8 LM is probably based on cars used for a 24hr Le Mans Race.
Pagani Zonda LM. The GR is a Le Mans car.
Toyota Altezza Touring Car was used inWTCC from 2003 to 2005.
The others all derive from varios motorsports, mainly the JGTC.

Some cars in the game are virtually identical copies of true race cars.
As for the LM cars above, and probably more, it may be down to licensing
from the race teams and thier sponsors.
Either way it's good to have a great selection of Le Mans, WTCC,
and GT class race cars to choose from.

Hello! :)
I need some help.
In B-spec mode, at La Srathe track, (mostly on the second) my Formula GT crash into the wall at full speed at each lap...
I think, that i have some problems with my console. Because, when my car goes above 200 mph on straight, it hits the wall and stop. But after a few second, she start to move again... (?)
I noticed, that when i run a stock car at same speeds, there is no problems. But when i run a powerfull race car, it's crashing into the walls on each lap
This happens only in B-spec mode at La Sarthe II

Welcome to GTPlanet.

This thread should provide your answer, found using our "Search" function and the terms "La Sarthe Crash".

If you have any further queries then the search function is your first and best bet - but you did right by posting your question in this thread rather than creating a whole new one.

GT1 SSR11: After first 180 degree bend, the track goes under the main straight.

GT3 SSR11: After first 180 degree bend, track hits another 180 degree bend.

Neither are in GT4...

I'm probably being a bit thick here, but does "LM" mean Le Mans?

Subaru Impreza Touring Car
Vauxhall/Opel Astra Touring Car
Vauxhall/Opel Calibra Touring Car
Honda S2000 LM Race Car
Honda Integra Touring Car
Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si
Honda Gathers Drider Civic
Honda S800 RSC
Mazda 6 Touring Car

Honda S2000 LM Race Car
Honda Integra Touring Car
Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si
Honda Gathers Drider Civic
Honda S800 RSC
Mazda 6 Touring Car

the Impreza is also a dream car
The Astra and the Calibra really do exist
The S2000 LM is a dream car... or at least the one in GT3 with 400+hp was
Same with the Integra Touring car (there is an Integra race car, but it's not exactly that one)
The Mugen Motul and the Gathers Drider Civics exist
The S800 RSC exists as well
ansd the Mazda 6 Touring car was a concept, I believe

What About These?

Subaru Impreza Touring Car - Fake
Vauxhall/Opel Astra Touring Car - Real
Vauxhall/Opel Calibra Touring Car - Real
Honda S2000 LM Race Car - Fake
Honda Integra Touring Car - Fake
Honda Mugen Motul Civic Si - Real
Honda Gathers Drider Civic - Real
Honda S800 RSC - Real

If any of them are real may i have pictures to prove it?

I'm sure Google Imagesearch will help. But, as a helping hand...

Calibra and Astra competed in the DTM.

The Impreza, S2000 and Mazda 6 are all or have been use for 2005/6/7 Touring Car Challenge and/or Grand Touring Car Championship.

The Integra was used in British Touring Car Championships

I know they don't look the same as the game cars, but it's like I posted before,
the game licensing would have needed permission from Halfords, Tri-Point, & Yokohama etc. to show the exact replicas.
Therefore we have Impreza, S2000, Integra and others with Gran Turismo plastered over them instead.

I think the Integra even has the 300hp of the BTCC Touring class as well.

From what I remember anyway.

Well GT4 is just a game after all.

They've just tried to get a close match where possible.

There are a lot more cars like this other than the ones listed in this thread.

Actully, I believe there is an XJ220 which is pretty much the same, but finding pictures of it is very hard. I've found them before but never saved them.:ouch:
Though, it could be a standard road going XJ220 inspired by the version from GT3, I think it was posted on the GT3 forum a few years back.
