You are aware that Illustrator isn't for chopping, right?
 
Downloads of what? Loops? anyway, i know many ways of changing colours of cars, not only that one. The way you said never worked properly unless done good..

depends on where you live "color" in the US, and some other places, but "colour" is accepted everywhere else. Its kinda like KPH vs MPH .. or feet vs. meters.

Well, I've just aquired PS CS3 Extended version, and I can see I've got a lot to learn.
I've been using Photo Impression 2000 so far, but the airbrush among a few other tools is crap.
So to save me time looking for the best Tutorial, can someone point me in the right direction?

It's not "coulor" in any language. "Coulor" isn't the English way of spelling it or the American way.

I dont understand any of that post.

Anyway, a new WIP. I was inspired by another one of my chops, a Renault Clio which I accidently clicked the reset button lol.
Its still a bit dodgy, but I might leave it as that if I dont have time to chop more. I didnt copy anything for any other car, I made everything up :) I wanted it slightly to look like a Focus RS, which will be coming out in a few months (hopefully)

I just slapped on some Lambo rims, the first thing i copy and pasted from another car :(

Well, I think its done now. Not much of a change really. This is the first car i ever chopped without copy and pasting anything except for the rims. Im actually fairly happy with this chop, unlike most of the others. Please C&C

Glanza, did you resize that picture? It gets all choppy if you do. Making colours bright often do that too, and honestly I dont like bright colours on a car, unless its blue lol. When you make a big change in colour, make sure you've selected the parts properly, because every little bit gets shown. You've also gone over parts which you dont need to. The side vent is OK, you've attempted to do the shading, great attempt, but it usually goes darker in the little vent inside bit. With the bad-boy hood thing, remember to put a little line, preferably darker shaded one with the part towards the headlights. Take a look at mine if you want (even though it isnt a very good example. Dont blacken the windows out, without any reflections either. But Glanza, you're definately getting there 👍 Keep it up.

I figured out why its all choppy , i had the quality set to 1 >.< AND I didn't save a psd as it was a bordem chop,thanx for the help :)

And Glanza, the quality you save and file type dosent make THAT much of a difference. The files i usually start with are JPEGs, and JPGs, but I always save as JPEG. I dont save in PNG and my quality is still there :)

I kinda just forgot about the CW competition, & PNG owns JPEG.
 
Well I just thought I would go a bit mad when doing this chop, combining both a RX-7 and a GT-R and this Frankenstein beast was born..... :D

hehe - nice front end conversion; looks like something someone could almost do in reality. Watch, soon the bodykits will come out :dunce:
 
Muzzy, its actually came out good, better than what you showed my on msn.
A few nit picks: The rear bumper is slightly blurry and the front is slightly off proportion.
Other than that great :)



PS. Why didnt you call it the GTRX? :(
 
GTRX-7 to be exact.. But i like the GTR as it already is, in fact i like it more than the RX-7 and R34 put together..

and isn't JPEG and JPG the same thing?

edit: It's the same.. just shorter so file extension names aren't past 3 characters..

why would it not? Both Root-based cars are FR Drivetrains..

i mean come on, just from the sound of it, "skyline" means it makes a line in the sky, you'd leave a trail so it'd be the "rear" not the "front".. and a RWD can drift :)

the RX-7.. again "R" being the first letter, in otherwords, "Rear-wheel", "Xtreme" "SLEVEN!!! " <- not a typo... Seven + Slide = Sleven.. thus the rx7 can drift.. :)
