Which car did you first win a World Championship ?

Tried with the BMW V12 LMR and it was hard, got the F1 and beat it easily, it's been a long time since and I've gotten a fair amount better at driving, so I'd wager I could beat it in a lower powered car.

BMW V12 LMR. I didn't find it too hard, but the series also held one of the few race losses I experienced on Opera Paris when I made a bad tyre choice and stayed out a lap too long. I ended up finishing 5th, but only because there was one of the slower cars in he field.

I raced a Toyota GT-One, as it was the first car that I owned that could compete on that level. The endless 1000 Miles! events I had to enter to obtain the money were actually an enjoyable experience. The Toyota was also the first car I could recognize in GT4, a strange game to me then.

Update: a Trico Pro, that's 7+ laps right there. I seem to recall that Hong Kong was 18...

Did anybody win a WC in Mercedes GTR Race Car ?

Are you asking about GT World Championship in Professional Hall?
If so, it's been done if I recall correctly by Famine, General Gravy & mynameissport. The latter 2 members have the AMG Mercedes Benz CLK GTR Race Car in stock trim (unmodified) listed for 200 A-spec points per race for all 10 races in this series in the Stock car race comparison / challenge thread. There's several other 200 point stock entries listed there as well by various drivers.

Personally I won it in a stock Bentley Speed 8 Race Car '03 against the hardest lineup I could find, consisting of 5 Group C cars.
Read about it lap-by-lap, race-by-race here: Another GTWC report. Stock Bentley Speed 8.
It should give you an idea of what sort of oppostion you'll face, laptimes you'll need and allow you to plan a pit strategy based on theirs. There's tonnes of other GTWC reports in the race reports forum, all with different AI competition which should help you to build a picture of what to expect.
1 thing is key here though, quite simply if your driving skills aren't up to scratch, even the most powerful car with the biggest modifications won't win here. The GT4 forums are littered with threads by people asking why they can't win this event in a Toyota Minolta 88-CV Race Car with Stage 4 turbo upgrade and 1157HP! Power is no substitute for clean racing lines! ;)

I used a bentley Speed 8 , some races in BSpec (stg 4 turbo) and some in ASpec (Stock power ~800hp ) !

I'd like to repeat this champioship with the suzuki GSXR4 :nervous:

I'm waiting for 1400th day

If you're waiting to buy the Black Beauties 2nd time round, 1400th day is too late, that'll be the last day they're available and you'd only be able to buy one of them.

Look out for all 4 of them on day 1394. You'll have time to buy all 4 before they disappear for another 700 days!

so which car is better ?

Better for what?

Do you want just to win this championship without any regard for clean racing, enjoyment or A-spec points?
Do you want a great challenge, 10 hotly contested races and high A-spec points?
Are you just looking to B-spec this series for the money & prizecar or to open the Extreme Hall?

Give us an idea of what you're after and we'll be better positioned to provide you with an answer that suits you! 👍 ;)

This is widely acknowledged as the hardest event in GT4 to win for an inexperienced driver who has relied solely on the ability to use highly overpowered cars and dirty tactics to win the easier series in Beginner & Professional halls, and it's the undoing of many a driver that has worked this way rather than learning good racing techniques.
There are some caveats to that though.
The AI lineups are very variable in this series, you can find easily beatable ones, such as lineup 10 listed here,
52 lineups of the Gran Turismo World Championship - PAL VERSION and hard ones such as lineup 6.
Consequently you can make this as easy or hard as you desire. :) (Well it'll never be a Sunday Cup walk-in-the-park, but easier than racing 5 full blown Group C racers if you wish!)
Also take a look at these 2 threads:

How can I beat GT Championship?
There's tonnes of info and advice in there that you can read before this thread becomes another "I can't win GTWC" or "What car do I use for GTWC?" thread, and if that happens, it'll probably get locked up quicker than a Hollywood heiress on a DUI charge. (Oh no, wait, that takes ages and ages 'cos she can pay fancy lawyers. 👎 OK then, an everyday normal person on a DUI charge! :()
At the moment it's still open because it's asking what cars people won the event in!

Oh, and if you haven't already have a read through the race reports forum (try the race reports reference guide at the top of the board) for useful insight on AI lineups, cars, tactics and pit strategies, as I mentioned in my earlier post here. ;)

I have run it a couple of times. The most recent time around I used the Black Nissan R92CP Race Car - stock with an oil change, chassis refresh and tuning to the suspension. When I ran a trial run I had a challenging line up. But when I entered the actual series, the competition was not all that exciting. Still the car performed extremely well (Much higher than I had expected) And I would recommend it to anyone.

If i remember correctly, in the past I have also run the Toyota 88V-C and the Mazda 787-B. I didn't really care for the 88V-C. With all the hype from the board, I thought the car was boring to drive.
The 787-B (Black) is an amazing car. Well worth taking in to the competition.

chapparel 2J, i put the stage 2 turbocharger on it, i think it was the stage 2, i stuck it on B-spec though, 18 or so laps just doesnt work well with me, i prefer short sprints.

When you enter an entire championship, you can, before starting the first race, use the hand to exit without penalty. So you can use the exit/re-enter trick to get a new lineup if you want a harder or easier one.

I'd guess you can even qualify and then exit without penalty, so you can sort of evaluate the field, although you need to sandbag it if you want to get an idea of the AI's times (or else you qualify first, and don't know by how much, but, then again, the AI doesn't try too hard during qualifying either?). I'm reasonably sure you can exit using the hand after any number of races without getting penalties in your winning percentages. That would allow you to run a leading subset of the series with qualifying, without percentage penalty (although it will prevent minimum game days completion).
