•Swiss Legend Photos • Goodbye

hmm...great I double posted. Oh well. I just wanted to provide a small update. This shot was in the 2.0 favorite car comp.

Also, I'd like to rename my gallery and would like some ideas on a new name!

great work on the panel, and the update is looking good, the photodrive is a bit blurry,
but still a good picture overall. the last one stands out from all the rest. the background is very real, and the depth of field is nicely balanced. the first one would of been better without so much noise, and maybe a little bit more space around the car would of been nice. but still a good picture. that first and the last one are my favorites. good job.

I really like the 1st shot on both the Benz, and the GT350. Very good work man; how's that garage treating you? The 4th 'tile' keeps dropping down to the next line, this can be solved by inserting a image on the top, 1px tall the width of the four shots combined (in this case 1x904).

How about 'Legendary Photos" by Swiss", or something like that?

btw- Swiss do you have a lot of photos of the GT350?, I am thinking of 3D-Modeling that car, and need some close-up, reference images, if you already have some, it would save me some time.

You have done great work on the last shot.
Thanks TVR&FF! I love your short comments!

Thanks for the comment J. I knew about the first one's noise issue. I plan on redoing it. I love that last one too.

The garage is great. I love having more than one color to choose from. I only had one color of each before. Like the orange F1 car. Now I have them all!

I do have more pics of the GT350. I can take more though. I don't have really good "reference pics" but I will take some for ya.

ya know, everyone pretty much calls me swiss anyways. I think I will make it "Legendary photos"...
unless anyone else wants to chime in...but no one else has. :sly:

Just to say that the GT350 shots are damm sexy mate!!!! Well done:)
U also did a quite impressive job in the EVO shot, great pose no doubt 👍

NTX:)

well thanks NTX. Hey you were my 100th post! woohoo!
Thanks for commenting. Man I wish I would've unleashed that Evo shot in the photomode tourney, might've gotten somewhere...

as for the new name, why dont you just simply translate it to your own language? :D just a thought. but i think it would be cool.

funny thing...my native language is actually German. No Swiss anywhere!
I guess it will be the Legendary Swiss Gallery (can you tell I'm bored with my whole gallery?) It's too much work to keep it up the way I want to. The whole thumbnail linked to post thing is time consuming.

Any more comments on the last set?

I've got another in the works too.

Thanks a lot for the comment c_f! Now that you mention it, the grass is bugging me too.

Here are a couple shots from competitions that I thought might razzle you guys.

-Beerz- If you check this out I was inspired by one of your comments in the pmc wk40 (rims)

The Stingray is coming soon. Working on it as I type. Stay tuned everyone!!!

i've said my comments about the gt before, but i have to say the grass has to go. the second pic focuses the wheel really good. very good in fact, but the lancer has to be the best of them all, top notch blur and action! a great smoke effect and 2.0 editting would take that photo to a whole new level. well done man!!

ok i give up as to how you make all your cars look so damn realistic. Spill your methods on my desk now!

here ya go J!

I'm not too good at smoke effects yet.

haha. You know, I have been watching some of the best here and stealing all of their ideas!!!!!!!!!!! hehe not really. But there are great people here to learn from who have helped me immensely. I just took what I learned from my 3 photo classes and applied it.

The Stingray set will be up tomorrow or Monday. But there is a full set over at my other site.....

i was hoping for something more like this :D :

the smoke effect isn't that hard really. you can kind of adapt it from TVR&FF's rain effect, but the difference is the angle of the motion blur (if any at all necessary), and the amount of noise and opacity that you use. the lighting on the whole post-effect process is critical too, as it may ruin the effect and the photo all together. hope you like the remix i did :D:tup:

Jg - That remix was awesome. :)👍 I need to re-evaluate the pics when I think I'm done with them. You added a lot of life to my shot that I didn't have. I messed with a lot of "omni & directional" lighting effects but kept drowning out the car. I guess I just wasn't in "the zone" cuz I've done it before.

alex - Thanks a lot, sorry to make you dizzy

guys I think I will work on a panel for the stingray update...so a little bit longer.

The EVO drifting is awesome looking, specially the "edited" version, great effect with the smoke Swiss!!

:D NTX

Thanks for the comments NTX and TVR!

Here's an edited version of the shot I entered in the unedited wk 27 comp & 2.0 comp wk. 80

-enjoy-

Thanks for the comments Suzq and tougemonster. 👍

I finally found some time to give you my Stingray update!
enjoy and feel free to comment!!!

great stingray batch!! the first one is very nice indeed, the way the trees sort of tower above is amazing. the rest are good as well. the burgundy(?) color of the car stands out in the green, and the chrome is a very nice touch. all are well done with the editting and what not, very clean. now for the euro-r, it looks good, but the reflections on the car look exaggerated. i can't put my finger on it, but it looks like you brushed it on to the car. but whatever it is, it still works. just doesnt match the lighting on the whole photo,
and the background. the audi looks nice though 👍

about the lighting on your previous post, you can always adjust it by clicking on the edit button. if you apply the lighting, and you think is too much, you can always click edit and it will give you an option to fade the lighting effect, with several layer options. try using that to not drown out the car/photo 👍 usually gives you better results, specially if the lighting filter won't give you what you want :D

Thanks TVR!

Jg - Thanks for the feedback, glad you like the set! On the Euro, I started to dodge lines and thought to brush them. Good call :sly: I wanted a kind of cartoonish look but wanted to keep it real at the same time. I just tried the editing you described and it will suit me well in the future. 👍
