ceiling_fan's pictures -- ZONKERS!!!!!

Thanks for the comments, Swiss Legend, TVR&FF and alexwrc! 👍

Here was my entry for the Photomode Tournament Qualifier.

I thought the blur was pretty solid for a PMC shot.

I like it, my only beef is that I know I've seen shots like that before. Not that you copied them, but it doesn't seem as original. I do agree, however, that the blur is magnificent for a PMC shot, I don't think I've ever been able to get something like that before without editing.

I quite like your shot mate, the simple looks and the in-game blur made it for me...well done:)

Nice PMC shot ceiling_fan. The lighting and blur looks clean. Not bad for a almost unedited shot if you know what I mean..... ;) 👍

Thanks for the comments peepz, here's some new pics:

Buick Pimpmobile in Vegas :D

Impreza at Cathedral Rocks II

Drifting Evo

All of these are done with PMC editing (even though the Impreza pic allowed 2.0 :ouch:).

Comments appreciated!

@ Buick Pimpmobile in Vegas

Those two were made for each other. Hence why I also have many shots of the Speciale there. Nice colours. The vehicle also has a unique strength in that it seems very confronting (the special wheels also helping add to this). 7/10. 👍

Impreza at Cathedral Rocks II

Lost in a cloud of dirt is all I can say. These types of shots always look nice. Well done. 8/10. 👍

Drifting Evo

Was the red border for a special reason? (e.g., a 'red' theme?) I must say it doesn't look too good, but I guess it helps maintain a theme of red. It would be nice also if the picture was cropped more to get a bigger portion of the Evo in the picture. Nevertheless, its still decent. 5/10. 👍

Thanks for the comment! 👍

I think I overdid the border on the Evo upon looking at it again. I think it looks alright on the preview but not full.

Thanks for complimenting the Impreza pic, definitely not my 'usual' style. ;)

I love your pics. The Scooby looks very artistic, but that Evo looks wierd. Now that I mention it, All your pictures are wierd!

Love the Special in Vegas, those rims were made for that car. Pimpin indeed!

I like the Impreza shot too, Shrouded in mystery.

You might know what I'm gonna say about the border. I like the red arrows against the color of that car too, nice effect.

Thanks guys. I'm currently working on my Photomode Tourney Round 1 entry as well as my first panel! Two of the three shots in the panel you've seen already, the Mistukuba I and II. I've also found some half-finished works on my HD and I'm slowly getting those ready for you guys. 👍

Here is my entry for round 1 of the PMC tournament.

Red Infiniti G35 Coupe

This is Jordan's car, by the way. ;)

Currently losing by 8 votes to atlop's shot. :( Either way, thanks for the votes a Trico Pro, atlop, franz, Muzaffar Musa, Robin., Speedster502, suzq044, Tangled Web, Tom Servo, Tommi2000, TVR&Ferrari_Fan, and vr6gti72!!

@ Red G35 Coupe

To be honest, there is nothing really too amazing about the photo, and I feel that when one is using phototravel they should aim to utilise the most of the background as is possible to add to the overall effect; this is a little too close. It is critical, I know, but I'm just giving my honest opinion in order to help you to discover where to improve. 5/10.

I think you've done better. The shot itself is good. The lighting is nice, and I like the angle. However, I think it takes up a bit too much of the frame. when you look at it, it's just "car". There's not really anything to move the eye around the photo.
There was just a little more eye movement to the photo you were up against. More depth if you will. That was the only reason I voted for the other one.

Love the second one too. I really like what you did with the clouds. The first one is also superb. If that was fully edited...man, would be killer. great shot there bud.

I don't have the main image with me at school, but I do have a screenshot of my desktop, which is of the picture I had... (if that made sense)

I'll edit this post with the original pic when I get home.

I really like it, c_f.

The overall feeling of the shot is pretty good, because of its composition and mood, but what really impresses me is the realism of the car, which is very 3D-like and has excellent lighting.
The desaturated tone also fits the image quite well.

The grass you added looks ok to disguise the polygon-shaped banks on GT4, but it should be smaller, it's like Jurassic Park out there.
The grass behind the car, because it's more faded, looks better and helps to not let that area be so empty.

All in all, great work! 👍

Thanks guys! :) I should also mention I found the sky on Google. I guess it's a good thing it wasn't noticeable. ;)

New pic, too! :dopey:

Be nice, first time using GIMP/ubuntu...
