Chadwicksracing gave me an idea. I thought his new tag Racecleanstupid was pretty funny. But what if a lot of racers were to create a secondary PSN ID with a similar “Try2RaceClean” message as their ID? After a few laps running around with the 🤬 bashers, they have no choice but to read your tag. It could actually sink in to some. I know because I am proof.
Since GT1, I have only raced against the AI. After years of built up contempt for their ability to switch to 4wd with off-road tires every time they went into the sand, enabling them to pop right back onto the track, while I have to snail along in slow motion when it happens to me, I became numb to the occurrence of hitting them, and didn’t really care. After all, they weren’t real, and they cheated! And, they hit me too! Lots of these bangers are coming in new with this same thinking.
When I first started racing online, which was with GT5P, I carried this attitude with me at first, not really thinking about the other cars as a real person. And when they bashed me, boy, I spent the rest of the race going back for them. But after reading the posts on this site, I realized that racing clean really was to my preference, it is nobler, and it is truthfully more rewarding. I made the decision to race as clean as possible (or at least as clean as my temper and adrenaline could be controlled!)
So if a lot of racers started showing up online with something along the lines of some the following PSN IDs, maybe we could eliminate some bashers? You could race a few time with this ID then leave and come back with you normal ID. Or if you’re in a race with them, leave and come back with the ‘message’ ID.
Just a few examples:

With the brain power of the folks on this site, a lot of creative names could be created.
Of course, this is all voluntary, naturally. But the written word has a lot of power, it chaged my attitude reading it here. Being new to online racing, I don’t know anything about these private rooms, but I’m curious if this might help until things are fixed in the future.
Watcha’ think?
