I once was taken for a ride in a 1991 Toyota MR-2 Turbo, from that moment onward it changed the way I thought about cars. The speed, the power, the excitement I loved every second. From that alone you can understand why the when this model came out I was rather disappointed. While it did go back to it original roots of a 145 hp motor it just wasn't enough. Then while doing so research I found out that it was a general agreement that this was the best handling MR-2 to date.

But for us, the general package wasn't enough, evolved from a street project, this car takes it to the next level brand new suspension and braking components. The 1ZZ-FE simply was way down in the power department so we bolted on a new turbo charger taking the power to an incredible 260 BHP, 120 more then the original.

With this car, the legend of the MR Toyota lives on.

It seems you've done this properly! With a car I like, no less!

Too bad I can't access my DFP right now...

With that car, I don't really like the way it handles. It would have been good if you put down the tyres as well, or did you just want the stock ones? Either way, I bought R3 tyres for it, and it handles better.

Thanks for the comments EA11R and gdmatt.

@gdmatt, Yeah I did have the stock S2 tyres on the car, I will add that to the list in a moment. I had some issues with that car, mostly with the car skating on the brakes which kills the turn in. With the tyres at the moment it does consistent laps of Tsukuba in less then 1.03 mins. I will try those R3's though.

@EA11R, I may have another, cheaper better handling MR-S coming soon.

CamryFan, all MR layouts skate on the brakes. You could probably counteract the skating by making the spring rate higher, and the make the bound settings low and the rebound higher in the front. Then try doing the opposite in the rear end to aid in the effect. That might counteract the weightshift of the engine coming back into neutral balance.

Plus, MR's aren't supposed to stop, just slow down.

Should help a little.

No problem. Its nice to see some new well started garages. None of that "Third times the charm Daprofessa stuff" You have my support and I cant wait to see what else you come up with.

Well, I have looked around at the other garages for quite awhile to see how they organise themselves and look at ways of improving the general layout. I also try to get things right the first time, if not the edit button will be quickly used. Already made one mistake and forgot to mention the tyres for the MR-S (I prefer MR-2 actually, MR-S doesn't feel right) but I have fixed that now.

I might add NEW! to the thread title, people may have over looked this page, but when I put some more cars up I might get a few more reviews.

As for the next cars, You can be sure that you will see a few more MR-2's in the garage but don't worry there will be plenty of other makes, models and engine displacements. There is a 1.6, 1.8 and 6.0 cars on the way.

This is not an Average 206, It's the RC and even more then that, It's a race breed FF supercar. This car was only built for one job, to win the 206 Cup for N-Tune racing team and it has done that easily netting 200pts for each race. For this feat we took the original 206 RC and took a hammer to it, literally removing any unnecessary seats, carpets and wiring. We then had it shipped off to have a majority of the panels and the whole frame itself remade from light weight materials. While the car was away our crack team of engine specialist took the more desirable 2.0 EW10 engine and perform a few mild modifications to the power plant and the result is a blistering 223 BHP at the crank. The suspension was specially race engineered for the tighter tracks of the 206 Cup. The end result is a dynamic, frisky front engined car that looks like a bog standard 206.

Be aware, next time your against to a 206 at the lights. It may be N-Tune at the lights, driving to the next event.

Note: This setup is quite viscous on the front angles, be for warned about attacking the rumble strips. Also watch out a the first downhill hairpin at Cote de Azure, It may get stuck.

This car may also be used on S2 or S3 tyres for events with tyre restrictions but be aware that handling and overall grip will be sacrificed.

Thanks for the comment Vince, You may see another cheaper 206 cup winning car in the near future that is more focused on people with a tighter budget.

Sorry, I should really put this at the top of the page. This tune and all tunes are and will be without any driving aids unless specified.

To be blunt, No aids

Props to you CamryFan. I'm a 206 fan no doubt.
I have a few with a very similar power output on S3s of your N-Tune.
I also produced one for time attack styled events and its aimed torwards
the 300ps class. Im thinking of putting it in my garage but there aren't many
Peugot fans here even with there phenominal motorsport history. But anyway,
I've made plans to review the N-Tune 206 and I look forward to sharing the review
with you.

Sorry to not be able to put the review up here tonight, but I am too tired at the moment. Had to work all day, because people love to go on holidays. (people = colleagues) Otherwise, I would have had the whole afternoon for GT4. :D

Anyway, I did have time this morning. Not enough for a full review sadly, but enough for a good first impression.

Firstly, the car was one of my favorites. My mom has bought one recently, and as a boy of nearly 18 years old (legal age for driving in my country) was it hard to resist the eager to compare the in-game with the real life 206. :)

The good:

- Neutral handling, little oversteer/understeer in any situation.
- Good looks.
- Loved the exhaust note.
- Insane brake capability, because of low weight and high grip (R3) tyres.

The bad:

- Front dampers where set too stiff. This meant a kiss of death in every (short) relationship you had with the rumble strips. I know you knew this, and warned me for it in the set-up post, but I had preferred if you had lowered the front dampers to 5 bound and 6 rebound respectively.

I hope you take this comment with you to perfect your tune.

Cheers,

Vince.

Thanks very much for your review Vince, It didn't really need to go for too long. What you have written is enough for me to work from. I will take your comments on board.

I went for a quick drive in that Pug to see if it was ready and I noticed the "kiss of rumble death :nervous:" then it didn't really hit home until I posted the settings. I believe that that kind of dampening (or lack of) is quite rough for ones who ride the strips. It shall be rectified in this tune and the next Pug 206 tune.

Of course, under our resigme at N-Tune, You are now entitled to a tune of your choice. There is no rush, you can save it and cash it in anytime.

@Soprano 3 1 3: Thank You, your review will be greatly appreciated when and if you get the time. I have never been a hardcore 206 fan per see for example I had to look up the engine code on Wikipedia but I have alway liked the 206. There is something about them, something that all the other hatchbacks don't have and something in my opinion the 207 will never have.

No problem, don't need anything really in return for it. Just love to take my lovely 206 RS out for a ride.

BBS 17 rims, if I remember correctly. Did some photoshopping on the back rim.

Expensive and exciting cars are the norm in GT4, They just are with their trick gearboxes and expensive high revving engines it can often overwelm some people. Since our last to cars where a bit on the WOW!?! side of the price range we decided to take the pludge and release our budget car. Disappointed that each turbo we tried blew the engine, we rebuilt it the result of the build is 340BHP and a incredible 456NM of torque. For the suspension we cheaped out amd sourced some R32 Skyline bits and sort of "adapted" them to our desires. AS a buget car you may not expect much, it may not be the best to drive but what you can expect is times around Tsukuba well under 1:05 and a 'Ring time not that far away from under 8 mins.

Finally a Skyline for everyman.

Price of Car: 33,900
Final Price: 55,100 (remove the LSD at own risk and shave 4,500 of the price!)

The Traditional Japanese Kei car has been steeped into a part of Japanese history and culture. Kei cars are often effective in relieving congestion because of their diminutive size. Here at N-Tune to the disapointment of some of it's workers we decided to honor the memory of the Kei car with this, the Diahatsu Sport SS.

We chose to use the Detachable Top to save weight, then our engine team took the stock 63hp and with a few tweaks and an uprated turbo it now produces a dizzying 82 hp. Combine with some aggressive tuning we have made a normally boring car into something more lively. This Copen absolutely eats the slalom cause and pulls excellent handbrake turns. The main advantage of this Copen is that it has 20hp up on any other Kei car at the lights. Finally you can still enjoy yourself on the way to work and still be fuel efficient.

For our second car of Attack of the Kei Cars comes this Suzuki. Unlike the Copen which has FF this Kei Works has 4WD which we at N-Tune are still trying to determine whether it is a blessing or a Curse. This Suzuki weights an extra 20Kg over the Copen, has 3hp less the the Copen and only 3 Cylinders vs the Copen's 4 Cylinder. However this has tighter suspension at the rear for hauling heavy loads or people and is much more roomier then the Copen and on the right day will keep up with the Copen. Even with it's load carrying capabilities it still has an uprated turbo and new ecu so it still has the ability to beat the other Kei cars from the lights.

It all comes down to choice, if you need to carry a ton of documents to work this Works is the way to go, but if you wish to make a statement and have any downhill mountain roads on the way to work the Copen is the way to go.

Yes this is it, back to normal cars here at N-Tune. What we have here is the latest reincartation of the legendary Z-Series of Nissan Sports cars, The 350Z. Very much a love/hate car and honestly not the car I would choose. To prove myself wrong and that this car could be amazing I created this, the N-Tune 350Z Spyder. When creating the Spyder we decided to focus on feel and response. Therefore the suspension has be engineered for liveliness and responsiveness, rather then dull and inert but we maintained that this must still be a daily driver so we have kept the weight as standard. We also wanted a focus on engine response. A quick tweak around the heads and some uprated high compression pistons result in a super responsive NA engine and also power to boot, 356hp of power and 451NM of torque. For both race and daily driver duties we fitted a controllable silencer. What we have here is the ultimate track day, daily driven Roadster.

The 300ZX...That's all the needs to be said.

But why stop their. It's hard to know why I left this car in the dark for so long when it means so much to me. The 300ZX was the first sports car I rode in, it was the first car I bought in GT2, so why then was it ignored?

Best save rhetorical questions for later. I brought this in as a bit of a memorial to those days of yore but we where quite sure what to do with it. A few drinks later and we turned it into a mad car. The VG30DET is a wonderful platform for performance with the initial figure of 700hp at the tyres. Initial test also confirmed that this was "too much", so we went for a nice 542hp, the most powerful car to leave N-Tune. We decided to go for a full race car so we made this fact clear by using R2 tyres for racing and the ultra low suspension.

The result of all our work is a competent, full bore trackday vehicle from Japan that can even put the scare into the Euro Ruf boys. Only advanced drivers need apply for this car.

Note:If any track is worrying you just jack it up to the secondary figure. Contrary to the picture the car is actually very good at holding the road on smoother tracks, but occasionally it will get a little taily but nothing thats uncontrollable

Nissan Skyline Coupe '03 337 Bhp and 456Nm of Torque
We were pumped at insanity racing when we caught news of this car being tuned by the team at N-Tune. We just had to get our hands on the vehicle. A few phone calls later, and the car was on its way.
First thing we did when we got the car was to whack in on the rolling road to see just how much horsepower we were dealing with. To our surprise, we got 337 bhp. Not quite the quoted 340, but it's only 3 horsepower, so who cares anyway. This car isn't so much about straight-line speed as it is about the cornering G's.
That said, we ran a few tests and pulled a 0-60 time of 5.4 seconds, 1/4 mile time of 13.809 and a top speed for 180.18 mph. Not to shabby if we're honest.
In our test drivers hands around our traditional test circuit - Twin Ring Montegi East Short Circuit, we were pulling laps of 1' 37 seconds, with our lap of the day being 1' 36.773. At high speed, there's no shake and no sense of danger. When you chuck it inot a bend a bit too quickly, you get a mass of understeer to let you know. Touch the brakes and be a tad sensible, howver, and you get a sharp turn-in, loads of grip and tons of drive coming out of the corners. We were taking the sharp hairpins of the test circuit at about 60mph, which gave us good turn-in and drive, which was producing our quick lap times.
That said, it is quite possible to make this car play ball with the back end. Viciously attack the ripple strips and floor the throttle, and you will get some tail action.
Overall, this car is generally a very easy drive. It has a minimal danger factor and is easy to drive fast. A truly remarkable effort on a formally boring coupe.

Thanks for the review ins@ne. Very detailed with 0-60 tests as well!

As is the offer you reviewed a car, you recieve 1 car tuned to your request. (which we have already discussed :) )

Also let me no if It was useful for any of the events that you have been doing at the start of the game.
