New setup!!

Hey guys. A few days passed and lots of events happened. Tried to mod my DFP, re-did the wheel in suede and painted all the plastic, but I messed up painting the wheel, and all the buttons got too think, so I used paint thinner - which quickly dissolved the actual buttons - so I spent a few hours trying to make buttons from stratch, but ended up pulling too much of my hair out. So I bit the sunk cost bullet, and did what I should have done in the beginning - and much happier than I would have ever been otherwise.

How I have been playing:

Notice the height of the wheel, the height of the chair, and where my knees, hands, and head would roughly have to be. You can see my need for change.

And drumroll - new setup!

I actually haven't used it yet, going to hop it RIGHT NOW!!!!!!

how can you take pictures, upload them and writing about it without driving it first???

Its interesting that you have a right hand drive setup even if you're from USA, very very cool!!!

Actually, I'm not quite as cool as you think. My camera flipped all the pictures. I remain lame.

I assume you brought the Pedal setup...or did you make it yourself, great job if you rigged it up yourself!

Cool setup GTP_Tzayad 👍 but why are driving in a Cage? are you really that wild behind a wheel? .

Yup I made it myself. I'm handy. But I'm not happy with it. Right now, the pedals are way too close together, the brake is too 'deep', and since they are mounted on a ramp already, though the angle is good, I need to hold my feet in the air, cuz the 'floor' is too low. Which is a big problem - cuz it hurts - a lot.

Oh the cage thing. I'll try to get a better picture of that up. Basically I have a 3m by 4m split level platform, surrounded by iron fencing. It's very cool. I have my work desk and bookshelves on it, and my desk sits smack dab in the middle of the platform. So on the other side of the desk, so I have quick computer access, I put the GT5 setup. But its tight. Desk | Chair | Fence. But if you'd rather think of me as a cage-fighter, thats cool too.
