S-Line Audi Fan - Good to hear that the car made even somebody smile! It's not the model you see in every tuning shop and ours may well be the first one, quite fitting for a couple of GT-R specialists.

The 300ZX is often slandered as overweight luxury sports coupe, even when we're talking about the sportier 2-seater twinturbo model. This is the last of 300ZX's, a '98 2-seater twinturbo, and from the outside it looks perfectly normal, if you don't count the new rims. There's no outrageous bodykits, wings or gills to attract teenage admirers, or flashy color to signal blind people to stay out of the way. But when you crank up the engine, the menacing growl and hiss gives you the first warning about the apocalypse that looms ahead.

In town speeds it civilized, comfortable cruiser. But take it to highway or better yet, a racetrack.. And suddenly you get a hunch how the Belsebub's wrath feels like. If you're lucky, ( and that'll happen when hell freezes ) you can get into low 1'54.3xx range on GVS. But that means that you have sold your soul and Hitler is your co-driver.
 
Those are some wicked looking cars, fellas. I can promise a review for both, but only after TCv4 stuff is finished. I've only done about 25 tunes and no reviews, so it may be a while.

My old mate Nuro has just joined the site, so I naturally directed him here. I think it's fair to say that this is the best garage on gtp, with ETZ and RVV keeping you on your toes.

In lieu of a tune request (think I have about ten up my sleeve), can I ask you two to each make a list of your five favourite tunes from the garage, irrespective of who made them?

Pls note I used the word favourite over best, the latter term being too subjectve for my tastes. You boys have a lot of cars now, so I'd like to be able to show Nuro some of your best work without combing through 100+ cars, 128 pages and 2500+ posts over 18 months.

That is fine by me. I believe I can come up with a list of 5 cars that I personally accept as successful tunes in a moment, after I've had some rocket fuel into my system. ( In other words, coffee that is strong enough to melt the spoon and slap you in the face. :lol: )
 
You said a pair of blowers, I took that to mean superchargers as it normally does.:P

Your view of superchargers is a bit narrow. Directly from Wikipedia:

"A supercharger can be powered mechanically by a belt, gear, shaft, or chain connected to the engine's crankshaft. It can also be powered by an exhaust gas turbine. A turbine-driven supercharger is known as a turbosupercharger or turbocharger."

Touché, huh? :D

The following isn't just a post.. I'm going to do three things.. You'll see, what I mean 👍

First of all I want to thank you, Greycap and Leonidae, for making this thread. I don't know why, but I think people don't see the hard work and the passion behind all of your work and your tunes. So let's get over to thing two..

Review of the Amuse NSX GT1 '02

First of all, I bought a brand new red NSX from the dealership. First I wanted to see how the car is in stock. I've driven this car at Grand Valley Speedway, El Capitan, Deep Forst Raceway, Midfield and Testtrack. The first impression wasn't good. For my taste, the car understeers too much and the brakes aren't strong enough for late braking. The tyre wear isn't good, too. The rear tyres wear out faster than the front tyres and because of that you have to go to the pit early. The car isn't balanced well, too.

All in all: A good car to race with against cars in its class, but it's much slower than cars that are faster.. The car doesn't accelerate out of a corner very well and the brakes are to smooth. The car isn't well balanced what is a corrupting influence to the tyre wear..

Total kilometers: 695,8 km (Best lap time on Grand Valley Speedway wasn't necessary until it wasn't tuned!)


Then I bought a brand new red NSX from the dealership again. I wanted the car excatly as it was tuned at MFT. I've changed all the settings of the car after I've bought all needed parts.

I've driven this car on Grand Valley Speedway, El Capitan, Deep Forest Raceway, Midfield and Testtrack. The first impression was good. The brakes are perfect. You can brake very late (even for a sharp hairpin). And if you brake too late, you can drift the car. It isn't hard: Just initate the drift, countersteer and control the drift with the throttle. The car is well balanced and the tyre wear is just excatly what I like: The rear tyres wear out a bit faster than the front tyres. The car is controllable everytime, whatever you do.. You can even drive the car with weared out tyres (both red, front and rear).. I've managed three laps with all tyres weared out. The lap times of these laps were just a second slower than the fastest lap time ;).. What I haven't mentioned: I've driven this car on Nürburgring, too :lol:.. It was fun, too. The car was controllable at any time and at any corner.. I've drifted it through the slower ones.. The brakes were just perfect. I always braked late and didn't miss the apex :).. At the beginning there was wheelspin in first gear, but after a few tries I got it.. Just don't floor it to much in first gear and everything'll be good ;).. The topspeed of the car is enormous.. You'll see what I mean further down :P..

Total kilometers: 1798,8 km
Best lap time on Grand Valley Speedway: 1'41.831

Let's get to the the third part of this post now.. How to begin.. Aah yes.. I always say: You guys are amazing, your setups are the best in the world and your thread is excellent. You ask why I always say this, right? Well, I can tell you: I have never seen such a clean thread and two guys with such a relentless pursuit of perfection.. You're always giving 200%, I know this.. You invest days and days in only one tune and there are 1xx tunes in your garage.. I really can't understand people who aren't looking into this garage.. Are they blind? ok.. there are some people who are reviewing your cars and posting here, but these are only a few.. Hmm.. I hope you understand my point now and I want to show you my appreciation with something special I've made for you two, Greycap and Leonidae..

I've made it smaller in order to be able to put it in this post ;) I hope you like it :)..

P.S.: Never give up, you've investing so much time in this and it makes me sad to see almost noone is visiting this thread.. But I'm here to help, you two know ;) Just tell me if there's a need! And: I've already written this, but it took too long, so I had to log in again here on GTPlanet and I couldn't get all the text back, so I've written it again in Notepad 👍 Don't think I'm crazy, I just try to help you and your thread, doesn't matter how much I have to put up with 👍

And it's the first time I see someone has driven such a distance. Two thousand and five hundred kilometres... that's what I call dedication! 👍

Thinking of your test structure you could also have gone through the R1 model on the way to the full tune, the GT1 was kind of an evolution version of it. But I can't do anything else than admire your work, and agree with your comments about the car... if I had to pick one of my tunes and say "this is the best" the NSX GT1 would be a very likely candidate for that. It's not all that powerful, neither is it extraordinarily light. But it's such a combination of handling and pace that it usually takes either more power or less weight to beat it. I don't know why but this car has the "something" many others are missing.

About few people visiting, such is life. But as long as GT4 is the latest "full" Gran Turismo and there is someone around here we'll keep completing our mission. I don't know about the other garage owners but for me this is in a way a tribute, and the ending of my road in this garage will reveal how the pursuit of perfect handling began for me. The people involved are mostly long gone now but the spirit lives on.

One of the first cars ever to sport the name GT-R, and the very first to sport the Type-R designation, the Isuzu Bellett GT-R was a remarkable machine in its time combining a small coupe body and a DOHC engine to produce a machine that didn't look half as fast as it was. But there are times when R for Racing just doesn't cut it.

That's why we took it a level higher, X for eXtreme. Taking the car back to its racing roots unleashed the sleeping monster inside it, the engine power being roughly doubled while the weight came down like a house of cards on a windy day. An extremely sensitive car when it comes to setup changes, the Bellett is a joy to drive in its current form being optimized for slow to medium speed corners, relying on weight transfer and skilled pedal work to extract the most of it. Not for those who have a need for extreme speed but for those who can have a field day lapping Autumn Ring against the clock.

Well.. You are welcome and I would like to test and review some of your cars, but this won't happen until I don't get a new PS2 and a new GT4 disk.. The reason I can review the cars of this garage is that I've done the reviews before my PS2 and GT4 gave up.. I've written everyhing down, so I just have to post it here ;)

Occasionally you can run into real jewel, such as this Isuzu 117 Coupé from late 60's. To you it might look like average Japanese sportscar from that era, but it's far more advanced than you thought. The car was styled by the famous Giorgetto Giugiaro, being one of the first Japanese cars designed by an Italian stylist. It was also the first Japanese car with a DOHC engine, and the first with electronic fuel injection. It can also be regarded as the world's first sports car with a diesel engine, and as a cherry on top, the few hundred early cars were practically hand built. As the time went on, 117 reached the end of its life, but before that, limited amount of special versions were built out of low mileage units. It was simply called the 117 Coupé Rallye, and featured complete race- or rally ready car for the road. As it is, this car is more at it's home on fast tracks like GVS, where it really shines.
