A time trial for anyone to take part in, mini prize for winner

What's the twist?

Within the next week/days i will choose a car and a course and run a time trial, I won't be pushing it, just a half hearted attempt to get a time, any time. Reason, your task if you wish to participate will be to get as close as possible to the time i set, hence half hearted attempt, so all standards can have a crack at it. Seven days from when i post the time, the competition will end and the winner being the same or closest time gets the prize, simple, keep watching.

Further info, no time will be accepted where a participant, races ahead and waits before the line, no time accepted which is faster. Time trial can be run online or off and usual OLR apply, no wall touching, two wheels on track etc etc

If after the seven days there are several people tied, i will do another time trial, with different car/track and 24hours later that will finish and a winner should be confirmed

I will take part for fun :D although I already have two of those keyring. So if I am closest just ignore my time. 👍
 
sounds like fun except if you only do a 1/2 hearted attempt at the time you possibly wont end up in the top 10, so how are you going to check that people dont race on ahead and wait at the line?

Damn, thats what I wanted to do. :lol:. I might have a go depending on how much spare time i've got.
 
Idea is just a bit of useless fun, you might have a few minutes before you shut off your PS3 at night, no stress trying to piece together a perfect lap or go faster by the extra 10th you know your capable of, no hassle of trying to outdo your nearest rival. I tend to do one lap as long as i don't hit a wall or slide off, i might zig zag down the straight to make my time slower, hell i have no idea what i will do and that will be the target time
 
You won't have any stuff left if you keep giving it all away. Lol. is it the mrs for next weeks prize lol.
 
hey raz, what is the car in your avatar? is it a real size car/proto, model or cad?

Ill try but ill do my best time, no letting off lol but im kind of geting bored of gt5, only play it like 1-2 times a week but i just get so bored.

Like markyboy I'll put in my (somewhat) best effort and that should equal your half hearted attempt.

As an added twist you should require the person to cross the finish line in reverse. :)
 
It would have been better if you hadn't revealed the time so everybody would have to guess with their own lap time.

That's the idea, to try and match the lazy time i did, might be easy may not be as we talking down to the thousandth of a second
