Argentune (also known as "Argentune - House of Innovation") is an Argentine automobile manufacturer and tuner company. Argentune is based on Buenos Aires, Argentina, and the name of the company itself is a portmanteau of the words "Argentina" and "tune".

Welcome to Argentune, fellow racer. Here, our motto is simple: if you want it to be done right, do it yourself. With that said: our cars do not use driving aids. At all. Period.

The cars on these thread have been tuned and tested by myself, obviously. Since I worry about endurance races, that means handling is a very important component of our cars. That doesn't mean the car is meant to be as fast as it could. Instead, I focus on making cars that won't get you killed in the last laps of an endurance race, just because you can't bother to control it anymore. I will gladly sacrifice 60HP if that means you will have an easier time controlling wheelspin, and in the end, don't having to worry about it in a race.

I don't go for maximum speed and tuning. I would rather have handling instead of power. So, if you are a power-freak, don't hesitate to leave this place, because you will likely never see 1000hp+ road cars. Even 700hp+ is a number we won't dare to reach, because as Keiichi Tsuchiya once said, "What is power without control?". I can assure you that, if possible, the cars in this thread will have maximum tuning as long as the car can handle all of it. I don't want any of our customers, including you, go around the track sliding or spinning.

The setups have been tested to the point of exhaustion. If a car I test doesn't handle like I want it to, then for sure it won't appear here. What brings us to this: I have a very, very peculiar driving style. I tend to go for flashy driving instead of racing lines, but when it comes to tuning, and driving properly, I tend to have a slightly oversteery driving style. Do not fear about this, as I said, you will not come across 700hp+ drift cars that you won't be able to handle. I will say that I consider myself to be a good driver, so you will need skill one way or another to get the best out of my cars.

As many garages out there, you can request a car you would like to be tuned under the Argentune name. That doesn't come for free, though: you will have to leave a review of one of our cars. 👍 Three rules for the cars you want to be tuned:

  • It can't be a AWD car.
  • It can't be tuned for driftting.
  • It can't be a one time only car, like the Blastolene special.

There are other garages, like Mad FinnTuners Co.™, that can tune those cars for you, after leaving a review, of course. I personally recommend you to look at their setups before looking at the ones below, since they are more experienced than myself, and they have over 100 cars to choose from. 👍 Since most people are acquaintanced with Mad FinnTuners, as they should be by now, I will post the laptime of my tunes on the Grand Valley Speedway.

Please, make sure to read the AUP before posting here. As the name of the garage hints, I am from Argentina, so english is not my native language. I can understand textspeak somewhat easily, but not other members.

WARNING! All of our cars must be bought brand new when possible, or won. This is to avoid problems of lack of HP, therefore ruining the tune. Also, you will avoid confusions about rigidity refreshing or rigidity increase. Every car that can be won, or bought brand new will NOT have the rigidity refresher upgrade listed on the setups, as the car should not be driven before doing the tune. Every car that can only be bought second-hand WILL have the rigidity refresher upgrade listed, and cars that can be bought second-hand in 10km form, will have the corresponding sign on the tune name, for example: "Argentune Mate '10 (10km Special)". The numbers seen in the setups, at the beginning of each ones, belong to the garage screen where you see the car spin. This will avoid further trouble.

Arguably one of the fastest sedans out there, this M550 Spec Nür is for sure the most pleasant one to drive, which I guarantee will give you a safe trip through Nürburgring, even at the fastest of speeds. Following Colin Chapman's "Performance through lightweight" motto, I believe I have built the ultimate M5, which is lighter than the old Nissan Skyline GT-R R34, and just 100hp behind the Enzo Ferrari. This, indeed, is a M5 not to be taken lighter than its weight. Personally, I was able to run this car in less than 6'46.000 at the Nürburgring, which is proof of its extreme performance and reliability.

For a car already defined as "too fast to race" (which in fact is a lame excuse for "We can't keep up. Just eliminate it") we at Argentune decided to keep the weight and power figures the same as original, with only one difference: realism factor. In real life, it is obvious that the curb weight of the car would not be 369kg at all. So, I decided to increase an added driver weight, which in my opinion, should be of a healthy 85kg of pure muscle. Besides, it helps reduce the wheelspin that this car generates under full acceleration from launch. It also helps the car keep control of itself, for those unexperienced drivers. If you are one of those excellent drivers out there, though, you may want to eliminate the ballast :) One more thing to note: the car is unstable on bumpy tracks, such as the Nürburgring, so it's better that you stay away from them. The car was driven at Autumn Ring Mini with a time of 0'41.264. Some may do it better, some not so much. What's the point of a benchmark time if you can't reach it? This is my personal best after... three laps :lol: A very fun car indeed.

If you are looking for a Ford GT that does not oversteer, you are in the right place. This car has gone from oversteery pig to understeery pig, but if you ask me, I believe understeery is better. It will keep itself under control, so you don't have to worry about spinning out during braking. The power has been kept stock, and the weight has been reduced, and both work in great armony with each other. The car can finish the 1/4 mile in 10.596 seconds, and the 1000 meters in just 18.928 seconds. This is, by definition, the ultimate Ford GT.

This exact tune is owned by the character Richard in my race report/story The Biography of Charles Williams.

By any means, not the common Type-R you will see flooding the streets. In a desperate attemp to bring back the Type-R name to its former glory, Honda released this car in 2010, with Argentune original parts, and boy... it really made us think twice about what a Type-R can do. This car was tuned in Japan's benchmark test circuit, Tsukuba. We spent a few months there, and the car lapped the track with a time of 0'55.413 seconds. Unfortunately, later that day, the photoshoot session was canceled due to announced rain, but the day after it, we took the NSX again for the session, and whilst at it, we asked our driver to run a lap during wet conditions. The time was of 1'07.622 seconds.

The Argentune S2000F is a car in development. What you see here is a guinea pig for you to exploit its weak points and tell us about them. Only with your criticism will the final car reach its full potential. The transmission is still stock, and the engine has been left almost untouched, aside from the polished ports and the balanced engine. The racing exhaust gives a very nice sound to the car, as it roams around Grand Valley Speedway with a lap of 2'01.795 with the wind of the bridge carefully masssaging our test driver's helmet 👍

Based on the Superbird that appeared in my race report/story, it was tuned for Costa di Amalfi and for 1/4 mile times. The engine output has been increased to almost 640HP, giving it an incredible advantage over any import out there, ready to race against it. The transmission is a short one, with the car finishing the 400 meters in 6th gear. As with every muscle car, this may be one hard machine to turn, but is certainly a fun one to do so. The Costa di Amalfi track was completed in a blitzing 1'54.305, and can do even better with experienced drivers. The 1/4 mile, however, was finished in 11.628 seconds. This car is owned by Aaron Sheperd, a character from my race report/story "The Biography of Charles Williams".

Not fully tuned by any means, but still packs the punch that the original Renault Sport offered, along with Argentune's racing spirit. Painted in a beautiful black color, this car already shows the mean side of Argentune's Racing Package. Ready to race, everytime 👍 Time at Opera Paris: 1'28.113 seconds.

The mate is the tradicional beverage of Argentina. That goes for the name. Anyhow, though small, and light, I won't go as far as to say this car can beat much faster opponents than it, because to be honest, it can't, no matter what Initial D says. But what I do can tell you is that it is a fun car to drive, and the prettiest out there, and you can ask any fellow GTP member, and I'm sure he will be able to confirm it to you. We tuned the best out of this car, and it gave a quite surprising 1'42.106 on Trial Mountain.

The wing is there for looks, honestly. I tried to base this car on GT5:Prologue's Tuned Elise, and I think it looks just like it. Setup is for drifting use only, and I'm really happy how it worked out, pulling long drifts with full power. And, to be honest, this car is in my opinion the best Lotus Elise on the entire game. If it had those carbon-fibre parts of the original Tuned Elise, it would be undoubtely the best looking car of them all. ;)
 
Thank you very much, Nenad! I wanted to take a break from writing, but only minimal. Writing is just a hobby of mine and tuning is also, but tuning is a thing I do everyday :D I chosed some of the cars I like the most, like the Elise as you pointed out, the Plymouth Superbird, the NSX-R Concept, and the BMW M5. I hope this will be a succesful garage, and I certainly like to keep a low profile in my threads, or as you said, "a nice presentation". ;)

As soon as I started testing the car on the 'Ring, I noticed the astounding potential lying under it! It was definitely a car worth the tune ;)
Indeed, the stock power was more than enough, specially when comparing a car like the GT-R R34 that is so worshipped, and that has 200hp less and weights 100kg more :P
The car is very stable, like you noticed ;) Something that is very important in a track like the Nürburgring, with all of its bumps and sudden changes in elevation. I agree with you in the following: the car is neither oversteery or understeery. ;)

Like your garage as it stands right now. But do you think that not full performance gives the best results?
 
Of course not! I want to keep my tunes different than the rest of the garages. Most of them go for full tuning, but I understand that are players like me which do not B-Spec races for money, so money is hard to come by. That's why I keep my tunes with the only things necessary. :)
 
The M550 looks impressive for the specs... i may have to try this one out as i'm currently working on a car for Nurburgring, nice time S-Line. I'll try and review it tonight.
 
Well, I bought the Argentune M550 Nur Spec, I thought I would get it in white as I do love the colour and it's the colour you specify, same with the wheels and wing (but i preferred it black).

The first impressions are good, nice smooth power and very direct handling, seems to respond well despite the weight it still carries. Once i got pushing the slight understeer handling makes it very easy to drive fast and very consistent, the spring rates might be a little stiff still as the car thuds when coming off curbs but that could be because of the size of the thing. The more I drive it the better it feels, S-Line was absolutely correct with his review, the car is on rails. But if you over do it a bit it will snap, luckily these occasions are rare and only if your not driving correctly. 2 laps out and the time speaks for itself a 6:43.286... it beat my personal best too, and that was it a fully tuned RX-7 with 400 kg LESS!!

It is a suprisingly quick car, you think your driving causally and smooth, then bam, it beats you record which you drove so out of control and in a nervous car.

Really good. I'll probably use it often to bash around the Ring.

Pro:

Smooth power
Good response
Balanced braking
High grip and composure

Cons:
hard to control in oversteer


Seriously good car, even if its a fairly light tune, this will beat most road cars.
 
It's a fantastic car indeed, and I agree with you: the car understeers slightly, but I rather have understeer than that oversteer, which you say is hard to control with this car.

You are in my mind, man! I thought exactly the same! The car is so easy and smooth to drive in the 'Ring that it makes you think you are not driving it fast enough. That was my main reason to make it a Spec Nür ;)

Just bought this car and clocked the Nurburgring at 6'48.538....

Not the fastest still...

I have 2 M5 but so far,this one handle the best!!!!
