Awesome Viper & 430 Scud!

Today:

I had to sneak pass two guards to get to these two cars, it was top espionage work. Totally worth it

That there is a MKVI Jetta TDI Sportwagen. Only problem is that the MKVI Jetta isn't even supposed to exist yet. It also had a full MKVI interior. And didn't appear to have any test equipment or anything. It was running on regular Illinois plates.

Maybe somebody imported a new Golf Estate? I don't know why anybody would go through the trouble to do so...

Apologies for the terrible cell phone camera and no more angles on the car. The rear looked just like the current car.

How come most Land Rovers in HK have that big sticker on the rear metal window area? If they came like that from the dealer it would be the first thing I'd take off. Great little Mini!

that Mini wagon kicks too much ass to be real! it must be all photoshop.

Yea it kick serious ass, not photoshopped. I've never seen a mini wagon look this cool

This is just plain weird, but cool! Feels like a VW from a parallel universe.

The Panamera is growing on me... I think we can expect to see some seriously good looking after market parts for this car over the next few years, the Mansory design is already freaking sweet:

That concept art is uncannily similar to that of a fellow called Glacius who used to regularly contribute to the car photoshop thread we used to have on GTP. I wonder if it is his stuff?

And I still can't stand the Panamera, for me no amount of dressing up is going to make it look good.

Not Glacius work at all, the renderings that Dac posted are freaking cheap compared to what Glacius is capable of doing right now. Heck, they’re cheap and badly done even for me. No Glac, and the Panamera is still ugly as spitting in front of your son’s teacher.

face-smackin' bunch of cool cars

Skyline, awesome post!!! So much sweet stuff aside from the rally cars!!! The Ford wagon covered in what seems to be guano is a Dodge, the mud truck is awesome, the old semi is an International Harvester, in the “couple other cars”, the blue Thunderbird looks pretty nice, and I demand, and I said demand, and I know that I can for two reasons: one, you said that when you have nothing to do you go out scouting cars, and two, the damn thing hasn’t moved in ages, so I DEMAND full picture coverage of the old truck that says “Dogpatch” on its doors (I think it's a 31 Chevy). Also, if you can, full coverage of the Charger would be awesome, the car looks pretty dang complete!

I saw an Aston Martin DB9 race a Yamaha Thundercat from the lights. It was neck and neck up until approx 40mph then they slowed down. (naughty as it was in town) The sound of the Aston was amazing, and sounded like a high performance bike. Sorry happend to fast so no pictures :(

Thank you? Well see I'd love to go get more pictures of the Charger and Dogpatch truck, but the only problem is I got those pictures while we were on vacation and they're about oh I'd say 6 hours away. I'll make sure though from now on I'll take a bunch of pictures of car when I see them.

yeah, soooo... what's stopping you?

:dopey:

I vote to stop using the term 'tuned' to cars like this. This car has not been 'tuned', 'souped up', or even 'modified'. It may have been 'decorated' or 'gussied up', but certainly not 'tuned'. It's slower now.

Nothing special for you guys on the other side of the pond granted... But can't be many of these in the UK... Mercury Grand Marquis.

Cool! Comes with free grandpa!

It's the Where's Waldo of supercars!

Chevrolet 3800 1948

So picturesque, eating at McDonald's. So appropriate, if only McDonald's was around in 1948.

Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG

I haven't seen one in a while, or much of any AMG-mobiles, so I posted one. Still haven't heard the engine at full song, so I'm still waiting....

Porsche Panamera 4S

Out, apparently, and moving fast. So fast, it blue-shifted. Or maybe I forgot to change the color balance.

Signs of the Times

The Maybach represents the excessive spending, the other is a parking lot of trade-ins at Infiniti of Greenwhich. Either that, or it's some very clever marketing: buy some high-end used cars and claim people traded them in. It works whether it's real or not.

Cute mini!

And, man I've never seen so many douched up cars on the road, lol. Some nice ones kevinm!

Only 2 cars from today, but they're extra special:

Beautifully restored Citroen 2CV, spoke to the lady who was the mother of the car's owner, left a number so I shall meet him next week for a chat and photo shoot, maybe even a ride if I'm good.

The 2cv isnt a rare car, especially for me. If you go to Esfahan, Iran, they have them there. The call them 'jeean"

The local VW dealership has had these things lined up for the past couple of weeks.

Sorry if I disappointed you, I mean it, no sarcasm in here what so ever.

For you to say the 2CV isn't a rare car is for me to say the Nissan Skyline R34 isn't a rare car. It's certainly not a rare car here in Hong Kong (or south east Asia for that matter), but I'll bet all the money in my pocket against all the money in your pocket that other members here (particularly from the U.S.A, and maybe, just maybe you too considering your choice of username) would argue whether it's a rare car in their own country. Besides, this isn't just a thread about what is rare, its also about what is interesting. The 2CV may not be much, but I think a few people here will agree it is definitely a car with a great legacy.

Anyway, some more spots from today!

Rare car #1 - Bentley

Rare car #2 - Alfa 147 T.Spark (Can anyone help me identify the body kit?)

Not so rare car - according to the emblems, and how fast it accelerated by, a Carlsson C63 AMG, correct me if I'm wrong but I thought it's only available in black?
20091022_Canon_EOS_3410.jpg

Not a rare car at all here, but rare colour - RUE I think this is the matt black one you spotted a while ago? Plate LN XXXX
20091022_Canon_EOS_3425.jpg

Not a rare car for those work at the Maranello plant or Monte Carlo or... - barely got my camera out in time, awesome engine symphony

I know most of you are looking at this and thinking, "whats the big deal about an RS?". Well where I live these are fairly rare, especially with an engine swap and in good condition.

I wonder if there's 1 R34 GT-R in the US that isn't Bayside Blue.

Shame the owner in Plano with a similar GT-R is a punk kid who exaggerates his car's power. Supposedly "900Hp" but too afraid to run a Supra on a 700Hp street tune.

 Where exactly in Huntsville was that? I need to go find it! :D

I seen it at the Madison Super Wal-Mart one night really late:tup: Thats the first time I have ever seen it and I have lived here my entire life, what part of AL are you in?

I thought thats where it was. That complex looked really familiar.

I live in (unfortunately) Decatur.

Ugh, Decatur. Its like a broken down old city with abandoned buildings and broken glass everywhere. I use to go to highwheels allot back years ago when I rode bmx. Rode with Seth Kimbrough and Corey Martinez allot, Seth could ride anything and is just ridiculous, I had kids and got married and stopped riding and they became pro:grumpy: Once you have people that depend on you, you can't really be getting hurt and missing work etc. I actually live in Madison off old madison pike, just haven't updated all that on here. Did live in Huntsville off 9th ave.
