Mileage Reset 0.0, (Value Size XX-XX-XX-XX (both codes value must match))
(1.0 Mile = 1609.344 decimal)
EDIT: Actually the mileage should be meterage, as I finally figured out while playing with a measurement converter, that the best number to equal a mile in the codes, was really close to the actual conversion of how many meters are in a mile. So obviously the game figures distance traveled in meters, then converts it into miles for us in the states.

I do believe the codes only affect the car in the first slot of the garage.

much like Hybriding with GT3

...I think I still have my Gameshark disc somewhere

I re-updated the 1st post, and adjusted the format a bit.

All the old information in the 1st post is now contained in this post for reference purposes.

[NEW UPDATE Nov. 29th, 2009]

I Just converted a bunch of huge part lists in Gameshark Codes RAW NTSC, and put them in a series of Excel Spreadsheets.

[/NEW UPDATE]

Just recently I started hybriding with gameshark codes through Tune Settings Using 'Setup A'
(WARNING!! - Back up your save game data before trying codes; better safe than stupid, lol)

If you use any codes in this thread, leave a post on how they worked!! If I don't get good response I'll know hybridding is dead, and I'll stop posting updates.

  • If you have NTSC2 decrease 'Memory Address' by 6F80 (hex)
  • If you want to modify 'Setup B' increase 'Memory Address' by 0178 (hex); and 'Setup C' increase another 0178 (hex) (so the difference between setups A & C would be 02F0)

GameShark Entry Explained
Example I : HP Multiplier Code x65.535---> 10A1F92E 0000FFFF
Example II: HP Multiplier Code x1.000 ---> 10A1F92E 000003E8

Memory Address (Memory Address to change)
Value (change to value)

The Values are all in HEX code. (the value of 1 is equal to 0.001 in this multiplier)
Example I is 65.535 HP multiplier, FFFF hex = 65,535 decimal (in other words there are 65,535, 0.001's in 65.535)

Example II is 1 HP multiplier (so the exact same HP), 03E8 = 1000 decimal

This is how I observe these codes, there are more to the codes than I have knowledge of, which is what I am currently researching now. more info to follow...

This is just a brief explanation of the codes, and a very small list of codes. There will be more codes to follow, as I am just teaching myself how to hybrid now....

There will be more updates to follow, as I learn more....

Tried the Speed 12 code, ARMax said 'This code is for the wrong game!'

got the same message for the 7 speed transmission :grumpy:

fyi I do have the NSTC version

**Found my Gameshark, lemme see if it'll load**

Excellent, Speed 12 engine works, an 809 hp CZ-3 Tarmac is quite fun, now trying the 7speed code

We shall see in a minute, literally.

EDIT: um, well, the power rating is straight through the roof.

EDIT2: Oh dear, the 7 speed suddenly kicked in. I suspect I'm going to need a new save soon.

Actually I screwed up in the conversion to ARMAX, I forgot to input the 'Game ID'. I'll redo it once I find the ID. (been awhile since I last did this stuff)

What did you run out of gas?? lol just modify the GS power multiplier code from 'FFFF' (65,535) to something a little more reasonable like maybe:

so it's possible to mix and match front and rear tires? for example using Caterham in the front and Cobra in the rear?

My gameshark is working so I don't need ARmax codes...but I'm sure anyone who has an ARmax would appreciate the gesture!

No, I was just tuning the transmission, when it finally switched from the 5 speed to the 7 speed.

Also, sweet, I'll play some after today.

Cool, I'm glad a few are getting use of these codes

so it's possible to mix and match front and rear tires? for example using Caterham in the front and Cobra in the rear?

My gameshark is working so I don't need ARmax codes...but I'm sure anyone who has an ARmax would appreciate the gesture!

Yes you can mix and match Fronts and Rears as they are contained in different Memory Locations.
Also I tried having two different sets, Racing SS Rover & Racing M Formula, so I could switch back and forth.
Unfortunately that doesn't work, the codes tried to always make both sets active, thus automatically randomly choosing between them. (originally I had RSS Tank Car, RS Cobra, RM Formula, RH Caterham 7, & RSH Mini One codes active, and it kept randomly choosing between all 5 types for front and rears independently, I got some real weird combinations)

My solution for this would be setting a set of tires for each 'Setup' (A, B, and C) so then you could swap between 3 anyway.

Next, I think I'll play with Weight Modification codes

Thanks, for some reason I forgot that mixing front and rear were possible with GT3 also :ouch:

oh, and some possible suggestions for trans codes, a 2 speed and a 5 speed

Next, I think I'll play with Weight Modification codes

I was sure that the weight reductions were just percentages, and that a drastic weight loss would have to be a chassis swap.

Yes, the weight multiplier is in percentages, but the '05 Ford Mustang GT (1568kg) I was testing 10% Weight multiplier on, the front end started floating high in the air and that's 156kg, I assume the same thing will happen with 1% (15.6kg)

Don't use 1%, car flies away before you can even drive..

12 New Weight Multipliers updated in 1st Post, and 1 New HP Multiplier

Hey buddy, the 50% weight drop works great.......thanks a lot......I'm tyring desperately to gt the code for downforce without a visible spoiler, or a spoiler like that of one of the hatchback vehicle in the game for the trunks of the older cars.....i.e. a low spoiler or one that goes back a bit instead of up high

Lemme see..., see if this works out:

EDIT: corrected, codes DF is only adjustable from 00 to FF , the first set of digits changed from 10 to 00 so only the correct data would be modified...

Front DF
00A1F901 0000001E

Rear DF
00A1F902 0000001E

These are untested, and may or may not work. Also try lowering or raising the last 2 digits of either code. See if it makes a difference

Thanks bro.......I should mention that I have done extensive Hybrid car building in GT2 and GT3, and some in GT4 (NTSC)......I use gameshark version 5 and the Max converter to convert any code I get to my format.........I have codes for all the engines, turbo and N/A stage 3, and all Car Chassis........I hope we can help each other out.........my most useful codes in GT2 and GT3 were the code for Brakes( from an F1 or other good race vehicle) and Downforce code (like from one with the value of the one of the better race cars)........
I notice that the 75% and 67% weight drop are equivalent to the Stage 2 and Stage 3 (respectively) weight drop in the game, so my cars that already had that put in through the normal gameplay were not affected (of rather, nothing happened)......the 50% worked fine.....one of the cars felt a bit too light so I add "weigt ballast" through normal gameplay until the car felt right

I didn't hybrid in GT2, but in GT3 I did a ton of hybridding, If you still do so in GT3 Check this link to my excel file on car specs: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=2819672&postcount=1

Also hopefully we all can help each other out by sharing resources, and working together to put together a killer list of codes for hybridding. I think I have made a decent dent so far, in two nights work... more to follow

ok, I'll send the Chassis codes for you later....if I get the time, my friends and I are having a race-off tonight....the deal is- Hybrid cars not exceeding 1000hp....lose the race, lose your ride (you have to delete your car)

Cool, I really need them.

Race for pinks eh? or well sort of.

I posted here all GT4 parts list .I m using them for GTPSP. :D

Holy ____, where did you get all those codes from?? I just spent about 3 hours organizing those codes into xls files, then reverting the memory addresses back to NTSC, luckily all the part values are the same. I think I have every piece of the puzzle now. thanks for the link.

And now the real fun begins...

The next updates should include some chassis, and suspension codes, and probably a fully hybridded car or two, hopefully I can build the Caterham 7 Dragster.

ok GrumpEone, please don't forget to send your updated conveted file for me

Will do, just have to double check a few things, and compile the huge tire lists and I'll send you everything I have. Now the only values I need, would be wing and AYC, and I'm still trying to figure out a Mileage Reset..

A special thanks to hardtofind, his link to GT4 data values has allowed me to have significant data to convert to GS Codes. So now I have spreadsheets that cover just about every single car and just about every single part upgrade.

hardtofind please pass along a special thanks from me, to whomever you got those codes from.

Download the following attachment:

Included are 6 (.xls) Spreadsheets.
All codes have been converted for use with GameShark Raw format NTSC

the Spreadsheets include:

  • 01 - Chassis, Susp, DriveT.xls
includes Chassis, Suspension, Drivetrain, Weight Reduction, and Rigidity codes.

  • 02 - Engine & Parts.xls
includes Engine, Exhaust, NA Tune, Port & Polish, Engine Balance, Disp., Racing Chip, NOS, Turbo, Intercooler, and Superchager codes.

  • 03 - Transmission & Parts.xls
includes Transmission, Clutch, Flywheel, LSD, and Driveshaft codes.

  • 04 - Brakes & Controller.xls
includes Brake and Brake Controller codes.

  • 05 - Tires.xls
includes Front Tires ans Rear Tires.

  • GT4_table_NTSC.xls
includes a map for just about all the 'Memory Addresses' and 'Data-Set Lenghths' for use with hybriding.

Good Luck and Happy Hybridding...
