I'm not sure if I'm the only one that feels this way, but I absolutely hate Sebring on GTR2. Every single version I have found, including Sebring 08, is terrible and even the cars that are the most easiest to drive with the grippiest settings at other tracks barely have any sort of grip here. Seems every car I drive has this annoying tendency to pull to the left and the frame rate is annoying as its painfully slow in some parts, then ubruptly speeds up. It feels more like a skating rink then it does a track. Does anyone know wher I can find a much better one or at least how to fix the problem I'm having with this one?
On a lighter note though, I got back on GTR2 a few days ago. First thing I thought was "I'm gonna drive the Audi R10 and Peugeot 908" and immediately, I wondered "has anyone made the Audi R15 for GTR2?". So I searched on nogrip and bingo, there it was. First track that I wanted to try just to see what its like was Paul Ricard, one of Four tracks I downloaded about a month ago but never got to. I drove the Audi R10, The Peugeot 908 and the Audi R15 around it and the results were interesting given they were my first ever laps around it:
Audi R10 TDI: Abit of a Beast when you get on the power coming off a tight corner and sometimes a handful to turn in some fast sections. Seems delicate driving works best. Its ok to drive, just requires some manhandling in some sections and some delicate throttle response.
Peugeot 908 HDI: Just when I thought the Audi was brutal, this car was even moreso. Seems I have to manhandle it more around corners and acceleration out of the slow corners is tricky to get right as its the worst at being tail happy and adding to the difficulty is it has a strange tendency to pull to the right on the straights which has led to some rather jerky driving. Even more smooth driving is required with this.
Audi R15 TDI: Given the brutal nature of the other two cars, I was expecting to have another fight on my hands but that was not the case with this car. It reacts much like the lighter LMP2 cars and doesn't give me as hard a time. Top end was a unpleasant surprise though as it was pretty much glued to 5th gear around 175 MPH and got nowhere near the speed the R10 and 908 did. A good handling car, just wished it had more speed as well.
So there you have it, my overall impression on the Diesels. Might have to start doing this for some more cars now that I'm feeling giddy for GTR2 again. Hopefully, the HSV-10 will be completed sometime soon.
