Another bug in Shift

This morning I brought a Corvette and set to work on my stickers. This afternoon I went into my garage to pick a car for a quick race and to my amazement found my Vette stickers duplicated onto my Lambo. after the race I went into my garage to delete my Lambo as I don't us it and to my horror it also deleted my Vette stickers leaving my with a plain white Vette and more hate towards this fun but badly put together EA release.
Where were the testers when they did this game?

It happened to me as well. My missus tried to surprise me when I went out and washed my Corvette. Bloody stickers came off when she polished it. Could not be angry as she meant well...nice clean car in the garage now 👍

Online today I had cars in front of me jumping like grasshoppers. As you catch up they just hop ahead.Maybe my PS3 is packing up...i dont know :ill:

Your PS3 is fine mate it sounds like you experienced a bit of lag.

Probably but the weird thing was it is only the car closest to yours. The pack ahead were running smoothly

we get a lot of this mate only thing you can do is drive faster :lol: i get it sometimes but the car hop away then soon after they hop back.
I have been told that this does not just happen when the person experiencing it has lag but it could be lag from the other person that is hoping away.
 
I was racing Donington GP, manufactures race.
Got penalized every lap on turn 1.
Never once went off the track there :grumpy:

I have had that trouble i had to slow right down and take the corner as tight as possible or if i went wide i got a 5 second penalty.

Me also can't remember if I was practicing or in a league race.
 
Lets all give them 10$ plus!!!!They deserve them...:yuck:

I already did! (€9,99) for the exotic pack.
They want me to race the Apollo, but won't let me edit the vinyls or I'll screw up my sweet EVO X.

I only went online once with a friend, and it wasn't so bad (compared with GT5P).
As for the offline AI...
On normal, they go fast alright...but it feels like they are tacking the corners for the first time...every time!
In hard, they still go fast but...do they know that they are suppose to at least finish the race?

I didn't bother try the easy mode after this.
But in all of them, I guess they don't actually know YOU are part of the race too, right?
I mean...they either crash against me, or run over me when I crash.

I been playing with the DFGT (a total nightmare to get it with the right setup).
It's ok while racing...but on drift...DEAR GOD! Save me!
I had to grab my controller in oder to do a "decent" drift...and still find it hard.
 
I don't know D-Wolf my DFGT wheel rocks. I think you need to do some controler set up work in the game to take the angry out of your wheel

GT5p isnt perfect, but invisible walls? Never come across them. And dont even think of comparing GT5p to NFS shift. GT5p was put together specifically for the PS3 by a talented team. NFS was put together by a normally talented team that were OBVIOUSLY TOLD TO RUSH IT by EA who wanted every platform to be simultaneously released, regardless of the quality of each version. As expected, the PS3 version got the muddy end of the stick. Same old story innit? XBOX 360/PC takes lead development, PS3 gets a rushed conversion. Thanks EA.

True as that may have been at release, as it stands now with the patches in Shift is really pretty solid considering what it is. There's still some slowdown on some tracks, and the online is a bit ropey but it's a decent game. A good amount of interesting cars, a good amount of interesting tracks, a long and diverse career mode, excellent force feedback, AI is interesting if you don't piss it off, etc.

It was never going to be GT5, but I feel it compares favourably to the other PS3 racers we have at the moment (SCC, SSV8, GT5P, F1CE, etc). None of them are without faults, and there are some things that Shift does very well. I look forward to seeing how they can improve it for Shift 2.
