We could all drive one lap on Circuit de la Sarthe with stock Citreon 2CV's with a 50% power limiter and 200kg ballast......

Don't worry this will just be preliminary..think of it like hitting the last few laps of a big race where the leaders are all running tight. It's building excitement as the cars and drivers all jockey for their shot at the podium.

While the overall winner will be determined by average lap times I'm planning to make a list for a mock drivers "handicap" race. This will be the total time for a number of laps equal to the number of drivers. The times will be based on the drivers best lap with their assigned car. Cars will be assigned based on drivers ability so the faster drivers will be assigned the slower cars. This is just for fun but should help illustrate that both a good tune on a car and driver skill play a major role in competitive racing.

Hope everyone is having as much fun with this whole shootout as I'm having.
 
Ok, sorry to the tuners. This is how average I really am.

All testing was done to the tuners specs on a controller and auto transmission. I completed 5 laps then moved to another car. Then came back later to complete the other 5.

GTPlanet FF challenge.

Raver - Passionate Pink Honda Integra '04.

First 5 laps - 2:06.4
Second 5 Laps - 2:05.9

The first car driven in the FF challenge. It's grip seemed inconsistent. You could drive through one corner and then the next it spits you towards the outer edge. Car felt slow too.

Praiano63 - In Violet Metallic Honda Integra '04

First 5 laps - 2:03.5
Second 5 Laps - 2:03.3

The tune on this scared me, but it is fast. I could not believe how fast after reading the settings. It turns so well and grips so well.

VTiRoJ - Beige Volvo C30 '09

First 5 Laps - 2:07.0
Second 5 Laps - 2:06.1

I hoped for more here. Just not punchy enough.

Jackthalad - Almond Green Honda Integra '04

First 5 Laps - 2:03.5
Second 5 Laps - Worse

I felt really comfortable driving this car. It turned well, accelerated well, was easy to push.

Drewsifer3x - Raspberry Red Pearl Mitsubishi Eclipse '06

First 5 Laps - 2:04.4
Second 5 Laps - Worse

Goes real good. Sounds awful under brakes. Tyres screeching real bad. But when you get used to it, you can steer it on some good lines.

Dylans1o - Cizeta Canary Mitsubishi FTO GPX '94

First 5 Laps - 2:06.3
Second 5 Laps - Worse

Felt a little loose on the entry to the corners. Felt like it wouldn't stop. Can see a better time is in me though. But just can't get it.

Lots of wheel spin. Handled well, turned well, front grip- not enough.

This car was so easy to drive. The brakes were balanced perfectly, it turned when asked to and I'm glad I've driven it.

zero_speed - Spanish Olive Honda Integra Type R '04

First 5 Laps - 2:04.1
Second 5 Laps - 2:03.8

Another well balanced car. Braking and turning were spot on. I wanted to go faster to do the car justice.

RotaryJunkie - Estoril Blue Mazda Atenza 25z '07

First 5 Laps - 2:05.3
Second 5 Laps - Worse

This car was a good/bad car. You know the ones that make it hard to judge how far you need to brake before a corner and then it might not want to get out of the corner.

Dr_Slump - Trial Celica SS-II '03

First 5 Laps - 2:02.5
Second 5 Laps - Worse

The first thing I did in this car is hang on for dear life as the rear tried to overtake the front on the corner at the end of the main straight. This car needs to come with a warning, "Careful, take spare under garments!" Then I set my fastest times.

Cool-Dude3007 - Indigo Metallic Honda Civic Type R '08

First 5 Laps - 2:06.3
Second 5 Laps - 2:06.0

This car felt nice to drive. It felt fast and smooth. But my times did not reflect that.

Mafia_boy - UV Blue Mitsubishi Eclipse '06 (Borrowed)

First 5 Laps - 2:05.6
Second 5 laps - 2:05.4

Car immediately feels like it will turn in anywhere. Once moving, it feels slow around the track. You want to go harder but the front won't pull around the corner. The time is a surprise though. A little more front grip and who knows.

SlowGTR - White Honda Civic Type R '01 (Borrowed)

First 5 Laps - 2:05.1
Second 5 laps - worse.

The first thing I noticed was the noise from this one. I had to turn up the 7.1 surround. It seems to corner tighter than some others. It seemed faster as you drove it. But noise can do that. I liked driving this one. If only it had a touch more power.

C-ZETA - Nayez Blue Pearl Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg '97

First 5 Laps - 2:07.4
Second 5 Laps - Worse

It turned slow and this made it feel slow. More turning speed needed.

D24689 - Taffetas White Honda Accord Coupe EX '03

First 5 Laps - 2:05.1
Second 5 Laps - 2:04.9

The car seemed heavy, not as nimble as some of the others. It still was well balanced.

Acan - Black Honda Civic Type R '08

First 5 Laps - 2:06.0
Second 5 Laps - Worse

I was surprised that this drove as well as it did. The 6th gear was not quite right. But it gripped well and drove well. It didn't turn in as well as some of the others though.

Brave Bear - Matte Red Honda Integra Type R '04

First 5 Laps - 2:05.7
Second 5 Laps - 2:05.4

Again, this lacked a slight amount of front end grip. But not much. I'm not happy with my times in this car.

Shmogt - Titanitrot Dodge SRT '04

First 5 Laps - 2:04.3
Second 5 Laps - Worse

This car goes and goes. I'm not sure why you say not to spin the wheels. It's fun and this car loves to do it

Basilea - Trial Celica '03

First 5 Laps - 2:02.8
Second 5 Laps - Worse

This was a much neater Trial than the other one. It turned and didn't want to spin. But the other one was still faster.

Yes, i've spent a lot too lookink and tuning all FF from UCD, but now credit problems are over ,with Ferrari Le Mans seasonals. Big quick cash. Best thing they have done for this game. Before that i felt like a kid waiting his father give some change at the end of the week. :indiff:

The Ferrari thing is good for the grind, but bad for a new start. Everything is too easy with the triple payout available. I restarted my first game (I run 3 at a time.) and will have to set restrictions to make the early grind more of a chore.

On the positive side though, I now have some great tuned cars in my garage.

So would that mean that d24689 and Cool-dude3007's cars are shared on GTP_Mafiaboys profile? Just finished testing his Eclipse, that one was pretty stiff, couldn't slide it around at all. I was actually slower in that one than in the one with the super short 5th gear.

A little off topic does anyone have some good tunes for Sports Hard tires? I'm trying to push the pp limit for the Nur4 on Sports Hards and the only car I really like right now is my Audi R8 FSI. I won at 568 PP and my next attempt I'd like to do at 550. Any thoughts on a good ride for 550pp on Sports Hard tires?

Ok fellas, I'm done with work at 1500 Ohio time, going to pick up my new wheels and tires!!, ( 👍), I gotta take my lady out for sushi, then I'm going home to grind out the last few cars... The attenza is on deck....
 
praiano thanks for the help. i still have to get used to it but i am seeing a difference in how my car accelerates and handles its power. a few more trial and error sessions and i should be up to par. i will be posting a NA ITR in the future so look out for that and some other tunes that i have lying around. look out for my watermelon :D

lounge part if easy. once everyone is friends on psn just join the lounge of one of your friends. i also found out that even if you are not hosting your lounge persons on your friends list can still join even if the person hosting is not on theirs.
